Some advice for you guys. Steer clear of all the 2012 media hype crap. If you see a 2012 doc, change the channel. Someone's chatting about it on CNN? See what's on Fox instead, or whatever alternative news shows you got.

That the 'world is going to end' in 2012 is of course a load of overblown nonsense, but nonetheless overblown nonsense that makes for good ratings. The media is designed to make you want to discuss the topic, whether love it OR hate it, and further spread the hype. No publicity is bad after all, especially for a good old doomsday prophecy.

Mayans never made any mention of any kind as to their calendar coming to 2012 as to mark the destruction of earth. Quite the contrary. Anyone with a little but of problem-solving logic in their noodles could do a bit of proper research into the truth behind the Mayan calendar and be happy that they known better.

Making angry topics about the subject just shows that they got to you, in one of the two ways they're trying.

The Long Count calender that is ending is but one of many different calendars the Mayans used to measure time. Their smaller calenders could only count to a maximum of around 50 years or so. In absolute layman's terms the Long Count calendar is used to measure a Bak'tun i believe it's called, or what we would translate as an 'age'. Like, we're entering the age of Aquarius. And in truth we're only on around the 20th Bak'tun out of a good fifty or so that the Mayans recorded.

I like to think that anyone with a decent shred of intelligence can see for themselves, since we're just entering a new stage of the calendar, that 'Doomsday 2012' is a debunked mistranslation seized upon by ignorant masses romanticizing the idea that they are special enough to witness the end of our beautiful planet for themselves.

It's a delusion almost as comical as the biblical rapture.

Then they see 2012 and scapegoat it as the main cause of everything. people have nouthing better to than live in there parents basements reaserching all this 2012 doomsday crap. I find it pathetic.

"Does America intend to fight the rest of the world, does America need to build a new empire? They will not succeed," Gorbachev said at the close of a meeting of the World Political Forum, a group he founded in 2003 that includes many former high-ranking politicians.

Gorbachev, who won the 1990 Nobel Peace Prize, said negotiations with Iran needed to continue with the involvement of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency, to ensure Iran did not produce nuclear weapons.

Iran Says U.S. Case for Europe Anti-Missile Shield Is a `Joke'

June 4 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. case for a missile defense shield to protect Europe from Iran is the "joke of the year'' because Iranian weapons cannot reach the continent, said Ali Larijani, the country's chief nuclear negotiator.

Iran has no intention of attacking its most important commercial partner, the official Islamic Republic News Agency cited Larijani as saying yesterday.

"Iranian missiles do not reach Europe'' and it's hard to believe U.S. authorities don't know that, Larijani said, according to the report.

The U.S. plans to base interceptor missiles in Poland and a radar station in the Czech Republic as part of a system it says is necessary to defend against long-range missile attacks from countries such as Iran. Russia opposes the planned shield, saying it will threaten Russian security.

The issue has strained U.S.-Russian relations and last week the government in Moscow said it successfully tested a weapon it claimed was immune to all defense shields.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said last week the planned shield risked turning Europe into a ``powder keg.'' He dismissed American concerns that Iran could threaten the U.S. and Europe. Iranian missiles now have a maximum range of 1,100 miles (1,700 kilometers) and by 2012 they may have missiles with a range of 1,500 miles, too short to justify a missile shield, Putin said.

The U.S. and Iran severed diplomatic ties in 1979 after the taking of hostages at the U.S. embassy in the Iranian capital, Tehran. Jimmy Carter was the 39th President of the United States.

President Jimmy Carter has often been referred-to as the "UFO President" due to the fact that he publicly claimed to have had a UFO sighting prior to becoming president. Moreover, he was the only president on record to actually file a UFO sighting report related to his sighting.

Thirdly, on at least one occasion while campaigning for president, Mr. Carter declared that, if elected, he would "make every piece of information this country has about UFO sightings available to the public and scientists." Mr. Carter apparently sought to reveal such information to the American public, having been inspired by certain American ideals of democracy.

However after Mr. Carter became U.S. President, he was reportedly denied access to critical information on UFO and Extraterrestrials by George Bush Sr. and other associates, for not having a "sufficiently high security clearance".

What is troubling is, that it is alleged leadership of the apparent very clique that denied Mr. Carter access to the UFO and Extraterrestrial related information (that he sought to reveal to Americans and other peoples internationally), which currently drives the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) agenda.

Secrecy on UFO and Extraterrestrials serves those elites that seek to use denial of access to such information, to advance their ego driven agendas.

The "National Security" context of UFO secrecy, is not designed to protect the integrity of a free and democratic society. Rather, such secrecy is designed by elites, to advance their own separate agenda that is aimed at materialistic self-advancement, at the expense of the destruction of a free and democratic society.
