Majority of Soviet Jews feel OK in Israel, but some cannot fit no matter how they try, as they rather feel Russians than Jews. Specially the scientists, as the Soviet scientists were taught to think along absolutely different lines than and got used to another approaches. Most of Soviet scientists are Dialectical Materialists, and I can imagine what sort of pressure one's brain can get in such semi-religious state as Israel.
