Officers believed a body had been buried in the plot at a cemetery in Gamlingay, and were preparing to carry out an exhumation. A police spokesman says checks have shown that the grave had been dug in error and then refilled with earth. He said officers had pushed rods into the earth to establish that no body was buried there.
