Massive Mystery Planets Baffle Astronomers

The universe is so much better than anything we could come up with: every time we look, we find new marvels and mysteries. The latest observations include two massive brown dwarfs in orbit around an aging star, whose very existence answers an array of questions about these odd objects - and of course raises many more.

Brown dwarfs are what happens between planets and stars: too big to stay solid, but too small to fuse material.
