I have been there when I was in the Marines, South Korea can whipe them off the planet if the North attacked so I don't see why this still involves us, the truce was the best option at that time because we lost so many lives when we pushed them into China and there would have been even more lives lost if we got China involved.

I really have no idea what this has to do with what this topic is about.

America has yet to call the war over, it's one of the longest going wars ever, a truce has yet to be called . Good to hear that you fought tooth and nail in Korea. I never brought up Korea so please show where I did cause my shell shock sometimes leaves me a bit shaky as it does you. Now lets move on to Vietnam and why it was illegal to bomb the capital of north Vietnam. It had nothing to do about lives as you seem to think it was political ass kissing and you know it. You want to actualy say that wars are stopped because of people dieing? what kind of soldier are you?

I never brought up the issue, you did. Whipe them off the planet? are you doing your best impression of Amagotagopo?

Nobel Prize winner George Bernard Shaw

"You must all know half a dozen people at least who are no use in this world, who are more trouble than they are worth. Just put them there and say Sir, or Madam, now will you be kind enough to justify your existence?"

"If you can’t justify your existence, if you’re not pulling your weight, and since you won't, if you’re not producing as much as you consume or perhaps a little more, then, clearly, we cannot use the organizations of our society for the purpose of keeping you alive, because your life does not benefit us and it can’t be of very much use to yourself."

Source

Wow, I said that to someone once. They were screaming at me for shorting them a penny in their change, while they were paying with government food stamps, and I posed that question. I don't see what's so radical about society not helping people that intentionally drain it.

Aaron Dykes explains in the second vid that George Orwell(1984) based his novel on the year 1884.

1884 - the year Fabian socialism was founded and that their insignia/logo is a wolf is sheep's clothing.

George Orwell was a socialist. 1984 was a warning of taking things to an extreme, not derailing his own political view point. It'd be like if a Libertarian wrote a dystopian future book about a world where there was no government and everyone behaved like savages without rules in total anarchy.

I wanted to believe in Beck. Even though he supported the patriot act, unjust wars ect ect. I was hoping he turned it around and was really for the people. But after him saying for the 100th or so time that the 9/11 truth movement is made up of a bunch or terrorists who want to kill 0bama, well , Ive had enough. People can think what ever they want about the truth movement, but I dont think there is anyone (accept CNN sheep) who could claim the 9/11 truth movement is violent in anyway. That and his views on the only man in politics who would bring actual change Ron Paul, Ive concluded he is just in place to make sure it stays status quo. To make sure the banks stay in power. F Glen Beck.

Here is a great resource for deaths due to cultural revolutions.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_killings_under_Communist_regimes

If you don't like Wikipedia you can go down and use the large number of sources and references found at the bottom in the further reading and references area. Some of the references are easily available as a PDF file, others you can probably find in your local library or you can find them in amazon.

So many on here who did not watch and only get their views from blogs ... pathetic!!!

Do not let Beck eat your Pu Tang ... and do not listen to out of context lies from bloggers. Some of what I have heard on this topic is true and some of ya folks just have no idea to what he has really said.

The hate for a few individuals, Beck, Palin, Limbaugh is getting out of hand. Do not let it turn to rage!!!

It does belong to the people in a communism form of government.

It belongs to the Communist Party. Do you think half a billion Chinese people voted to invade and brutally oppress Tibet?

In actuallyideology the differences between communism and fascism are very small. they were both totalitarian systems

Actually Communism is closer to the ideal Libertarian state except that it's collectivist. China, the USSR and North Korea are communist in name only. The best example of a communist society that I can think of is Jonestown, Guyana when Jim Jones wasn't there to 'rule' the people. The biggest problem with a communist society is that it's far too easy for a single person to take control. That's why so many of them have fallen into totalitarian states.

I agree. Socialism leads to Fascism.

You're right. The people of a tiny(probably South American) nation are poor and want socialism, so the CIA backs a right wing dictator to come in and take over. Richard Nixon praised Francisco Franco for his anti-Communism. If you're wondering why people don't follow the USA's model of government it's because it's been spread by the sword for so long.

All socialists and fascists pick and choose what wars they support and those which they oppose. Code Pink is basically in love with the terrorists and only oppose actions taken by the United States for the most part. The democrats were heavily involved through Congress in supporting the wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan but then turned coat and turned traitor.

Left-wingers love to ride around with "Free Tibet" bumper stickers on their cars but then the left-wing prove how hypocritical that they are when they opposed the "Free Iraq!" bumper sticker movement. The left-wing selectively pick and choose who deserves freedom in their eyes and who do not. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Operation Iraqi Freedom is the greatest battle for freedom and human rights in my lifetime. Of course the left-wing have opposed it and sided with the terrorists. Pathetic.

Just like how during the years that the Democrats were in power the Republicans were fiercely anti-War? You don't get it, it has nothing to do with who is loyal to the republic and what not, it's all about making the other side look bad. If the war in Iraq was launched in 1998 or so when Clinton was in power the Republicans would have fought it every step of the way, and would anyone have called them traitors?

You're wrong. When they say Free Tibet they don't mean someone should go in there with an army and take it from the Chinese, they mean the Chinese should release their grip on it. Everybody knows how futile that is though, because if China doesn't even listen to it's own people why would it listen to some rich white people half way around the world?

I agree Iraq should have been freed from Saddam, just like every country should be freed from it's dictators, but sending in under-equipped soldiers into a civil war waiting to happen wasn't very prudent.

I love this. This applies to not just this thread, but these forums in general... There are some people here that are informed, but for the most part, people just seem to know enough to be a danger to themselves...like a bomb disposal technician in their third month of schooling; just starting to learn the lingo, but that real world application would just blow up in their face.

You can tell the people that only are able to parrot keywords of beck and limbaugh and the msnbc staff...how everyone is a "fascist", getting socialist and communist mixed up...the key phrase of the program will make it into the jargon and it is painful to read. It does however show who has read a book and visited a library, versus the folks that just get their info based on the rantings of the loudmouths that have the pulpit at the moment...

It would go so much better if people would stop throwing the fascist/communist accusation around...it just gums up the works, and serves no other purpose than to upset people and to get an emotional response. it is like throwing hitler into a conversation...it is pointless and just the indication of the end of a polite discussion and the beginning of a pointless argument.

Beck lost all credibility long ago. He claims to be the same political party as me, and that is not the problem. The insanity is the problem. It is like he is off his meds... The guy is a nutter, and painfully embarrassing to watch. Even when I do agree with what he says, I disagree with how he says it, as he is usually overacting, and coming across like a fool and losing any chance to have any credibility...it saddens me that he is one of the few political people aligned with my party, when he does such a disservice to the party itself and does not usually do a good job expressing what the goal of the party is without acting like a drugged out freak.

Yet the democrats were FOR the war but then turned coat and turned traitor on it. That is much different in my eyes. We had a debate in this country running up to the war in Iraq and the democrats supported it until they found out they could instead afterwards start giving support to the enemy as they did and that their traitorous left-wing base liked it.

The democrats turned their support to Saddam and everyday screamed out that the war was illegal or unjust and that Saddam should still be in power. In my eyes they are traitors, 100%. The left-wing and the democrat party gave moral support to the enemy and they are still doing it today as well. They are not to be trusted.

I supported Clinton's wars. I rooted for the U.S. everyday and never turned coat as the democrats and their left-wing base has. I have stood outside in the cold and the rain about a thousand times counter-protesting against the left-wing with their signs claiming our troops are baby killers or denouncing our country. They are pathetic!

Honestly I have used thewords socialist or fascist for nearly ten years or more before it was ever uttered by television or radio pundit. Words have meaning. They are both actual poltical ideologies that are being practised by the progressive movement today. (As well as throughout alot of American history dating back to Wilson and FDR).

If you do not like the free speech of a certain political pundit then dont listen. That is your loss.

Because the war became unpopular and they feigned being anti-War to get elected in 06 then proceeded to do nothing. There's nothing traitorous about that in my eyes, it's just classic politician BS. Nixon did the same, said he would end the Vietnam war and then once elected did nothing. I don't know why you see the need to call out one party on this when it has nothing to do with political parties.

They did not. The way I remember it they tried to bring an end to an ongoing stalemate from 2006 onwards by attempting to cut funding, but they failed because they have no spine.

I supported Clinton's wars. I rooted for the U.S. everyday and never turned coat as the democrats and their left-wing base has. So you're just bloodthirsty? Give me a war because peacetime is boring.

The rantings of a mad man no longer works. Freedom is something you despise, equal rights is another thing you despise. I have been through this many times with you and it's disgusting and not even worthy of a response. If you were to speak like this in person there would be blood spilt. I can't say anymore as it disgusts me that there are those that think like you.

I would be very happy to meet you in person as well if that is your wish. You crack me up! I have already met many like you and it is always a joke how your type talks tough online but then cowards down once it is for real.

How does this have to do with free speech? Over-react much? am I shutting off the station, am I closing down power to the microphone? no I am expressing an opinion. It bears nothing on free speech, don't go there.

btw...It is no loss.

I would rather have someone who says the right thing and has integrity, sanity, and honor.

Becks opinion sways to the highest bidder(whoever writes his paycheck) as we can see between his time on different stations regarding pretty significant issues, so I doubt his integrity and honor. His sanity...well that just takes watching him for a while to build your own conclusion, but it is pretty clear to me(someone with the same political leanings) that he is nuttier than a fruitcake.

I didn't claim at all that you were trying to shut down free speech. I just claimed that you shouldn't listen to their "free speech political punditry" if you do not like it. Many people enjoy the work of people like Hannity, Bech or Limbaugh. If you dont then it is your loss. I never thought that I would like Beck but he has done some really interesting and great work. This thread is an example of that.

As I said in another thread here. I had re-invented the political scale of left to right about 3 to 4 years ago. And Beck did a show on it. I loved it. Now he is working even more to explain to people how the progressive movement is a fascist movement. I applaud him!
