Distant planet being destroyed by host star

A team of astrophysicists have found that a massive planet in a distant solar system is being distorted and destroyed by its star. The find gives astronomers a rare chance to observe the final stage of a planet's life cycle, at over 50% larger than Jupiter and 75 times closer to its star than the Earth is to the Sun however it is quite unlike anything in our own solar system.

"An international group of astrophysicists has determined that a massive planet outside our Solar System is being distorted and destroyed by its host star -- a finding that helps explain the unexpectedly large size of the planet, WASP-12b."

don't worry all these is just an assumption . our current technology, we could barely see the planet left alone to know for sure what happen there

Science operates on more than assumption. Just because something can not be seen directly it does not mean that the truth can not be deduced. Science is very similar to detective work. A detective does not have to observe the crime to know that it has been committed nor to discover who the criminal is. He/she deduces the facts from the evidence. The same holds true with a scientist who can deduce the truth by applying known facts. If we were to use your logic we would have to let off all criminals as their guilt is only assumed.
