A victory for the working poor, people with chronic medical conditions, the elderly and so on. The little guy wins. I'm so glad.

Republicans: the working, responsible individual is generally the little guy. I hope that you will be surprised to find that this bill is a good thing. You came to like Medicare.

Does anyone know how much this is going to cost? I currently have a form of medicaid that does not cover most things. I am uncovered for dental, vision etc. I am wondering if the government plan will be cheaper and if it will cover stuff previously uncovered.

So how does it feel being an evil communist dictatorship like the rest of the Western world? ;)

So far so good.

You know it's not really a plan but a set of guidelines for insurance companies to follow, and fines up to 2.5% of income for people who don't get coverage by 2016, and employers that don't offer coverage with 50 or more employees will get a fine of $2000 per employee. And if you goto a indoor tanning salon with ultraviolet light you will have a 10% tax on your bill. How stupid is that for a health care bill. If your gonna tax salons you should tax people on the beach or anyone outside for absorbing ultraviolet light of the sun. Lmao some of it is just laughable and some of it has some merits but I think if the president is this posed on the welfare people then maybe he should give some of his $400,000 income to the poor.

P.S. If your gonna do a bill this big then you shouldn't be shooting for 95% of americans to have insurance but 100% besides if not everyone gets it you will be FINED.

The fight against the March of Socialist in the United States goes on, this is just one battle.

I would not get discourage of this for Socialsim is not what made American the Great nation it is, so at the end it will not prevail. Even the left dont like to be called socialist as much as their idea of a society is pretty much what it is.

As much a supporter of 'socialised medicine' as I am (and I freely admit to being a Chardonnay socialist), I really don't think that it'll work in America. It requires a certain mindset to be embraced.

So the National Socialist Democratic Party is one step closer to destroying America.

But, like Aroces said, we may have lost this battle, but the war is far from over.

We're not bankrupt. We can keep borrowing and printing money.

Besides, only the evil rich Republicans hate the poor and the sick and want them to die.

Next is immigration reform, so the government has to provide health care to another 10 million to the 30 million and need another 500 billion to the 1 trillion. Equals to deficite reduction of $130 billion in 10 years.blink.gif

Bankrupt? How can that be?

Yeah, that's why they were completely denying medical coverage to all those that couldn't pay for it before. Oh wait, they weren't. Any uninsured person can walk into most emergency rooms and receive care.

All this will accomplish is to make government bigger (when has that ever been a good thing?), increase the deficit, and raise taxes. That and p*** off the people they represent that were telling them NOT to vote for it. They'll probably still have the nerve to be surprised when most of them get voted out come November.
