So you have somebody else pay for it who cant afford it either, right?

No, I didn't say that. It's a shame that you have to convince yourself of that.

I can't afford to pave the roads that lead to my house. Thank god that we all pay for the roads. We can drive almost anywhere on the continent now.

Now why dont ask the government to provide you a car so you can have something to lead you to your house as well?

And throw in some money for gas, so you can drive on the continent.

It's the entitlement mentality. “Screw every one else; I have a right to free money, free health care, free housing, free every thing!”

That is an extreme and innappropriate analogy, but it's all you have. Instead of being rational, you seem to overexaggerate. You have to though, othewise you dont' really have anything to be upset about.

americans own most of the british companies now days and one of the reasons why there was such a big fuss about cadbury is not just because it was one of the greatest companies to be owned by some who is british, but its also because the products are made in britain. vast majority of stuff come from foreign countries, even the products that say 'made in britain' and its those reasons why britain is in such a hell hole. if most things that we buy in britain came from britain, then there would be alot more jobs going around, and if there was a decent prime minister in power to do something about all the problems the country has then it wouldnt be so bad. i would love to have obama to be in charge of britain. :hmm:

if i had a $50,000 dollar fine, i would have to work for the rest of my life to pay it off in this country.

Obama would ruin Britain further with more mass immigration, liberalism and socialism.

Britain needs a strong right-wing government and not even the Conservatives are like that anymore.

This whole healthcare debate is like **EDIT**.

**If you are going to go for the graphic imagery, please at least make the attempt to make it a relevant example.**

Free enterprise is the ethos of this country, so people that whine about other people making money or any shape or form of profit is laughable. Should there be healthcare reform? YES!, but do it through sanctions or some other means... Tackle this in a Bi-Partisan manner, don't shove a heap of tree in my direction and tell me that it's a great plan and sign here now...Government takeover is the worst option. YOU DO NOT WANT 1/5 OF THE ECONOMY IN THE HANDS OF THE GOVERNMENT! The sound of free anything has a likable ring to it, but be warned...

If I were a socialist at heart, and held a position such as president... The easiest way for me to attack this ethos of free enterprise would be to bankrupt this country into not having a choice... It's a very divisive tactic, but in the end cohesive due to us not having a pot to p*** in.

Maybe we should switch side now and back up North Korea?

We share the same issues on this side of the pond as well.

Your a bit irrational Robin Hood. It's hard to pass this off as a truth, when we have such a strong middle class....

Now thats funny.... How about this Idea instead... add two or three cents to the tax paid per gallon on gas. Put those extra pennies, and provide car insurance for everyone.... the more you drive the more insurance you pay. What does that do, well, where I live that would cover liability for everyone.

Health care is no different.... you are not paying for a person to live a healthy lifestyle, you are only helping that person stay healthy. Really that could only help our economy. Healthy people work. Unhealthy people do not. Heres something else to think of... If a person cannot pay for their medical bills, should we allow that person to fester and die, and possibly pass on disease to others who also can not pay their medical bills. Perhaps you should stop thinking that we are helping freeloaders, and instead think of it as trying to protect our own health and economy. These freeloader types your talking about, there are other ways to stick it to them, or get them to work. Health care should be a human right.

Also I wanted to add, that if you cap the costs doctors charge, does not nessisarly mean they will be bad doctors. I have also heard that in some of these other countries, Doctors can earn a stipen, by that amount of people they can KEEP healthy. Its time to stop these people from Preying on those less fortunate.

Spoken like a true card carrying democrat. "Let's tax the crap out of the rich. I'm sure they will just "eat it" and not put any of it off on their employees or products they create.". I have yet in 40 years to see a Democrat that actually helped the poor nationwide. All I ever see is a bunch of good wishes.

Your Statement and that of Dr. Alien, are just plain ignorant. Nothing is Black and White.

How about this idea, government address the issue why Health Care cost keeps going up?

Instead of taking over an industry and centralization.

Tell us when did health care ever become a human right? So you are telling me someone who smoke a pack a day, eats all the fatty food and lays down all day, he is born with the right to be taken care of others for his behavior's consequence?

Your idea is a good one. The gov'nt should look into health care costs. I think that people want to see SOMETHING happen. Instead of like you say, a bunch of well wishing.

Health care is NOT a human right in this country, Im sayin that it should be.

As for the pack a day person, I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone in this country who takes perfect care of themselves. But its still a good question. so how about this instead.... give people who are healthy and strive to remain healthy, some sort of reward. lower costs on insurace, a membership to a gym, a scholarship, something positive, and pro active.

Dont get me wrong, Im not for rewarding the lame. But Im also not for allowing people to needlessly die...

Tell us when did health care ever become a human right?

When did life, liberty, the persuit of happiness become a human right? When did self-determination become a human right? When did voting become a human right? When did privacy become a human right? When OTHER HUMANS SAID THEY WERE AND WROTE IT DOWN.

It was radical when we decided that liberty and privacy was a human right, and it is radical when we say now that health care is. In 100 years, our grandchildren will think it odd that anyone ever didnt' consider health care a human right.

I have a quick question. Just for the record...

Is there anyone on this thread that has gone to the ER and been denied healthcare? I had some trouble getting a job, and had very little income, but there was still the health department, and even in my state of poverty, I still got what I needed to stay healthy. even without health insurance.

If these options exist, and they cost 15$ in copay if you have money (if you have no money on you, you can pay in installments)... Then where's the problem? I just don't see it?

The only people I've heard of that were denied healthcare were those that had free healthcare... Like those that live in canada for example.

there is a differnce between health care and emergency care. And, if you go to the emergency room for a cold and you don't pay for it, the rest of us do ANYWAY.

As is ours. However, that is not an issue with having a state/government healthcare plan, per se, but an issue with overpopulation, an ever-aging population and the increasing divide between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots'. Only during the Victorian Era, perhaps, in modern recorded history has the greater wealth of most nations been concentrated in so few hands.

Central bank planning coupled with phony fake fiat money has created the situation where people are deceptively conned into believing the solutions.

Cool, but there's still the health department, which I can vouch for in the matter of non-emergency low cost medicine... Why doesn't this option suffice when it comes to health care needs?
