Nikolaos Posted June 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2004 First: "I Am" Consider me, I am darkness. Pure, eternal, and infinite. I have no source from which I came to be. Without beginning and without end. There is fear of me, yet, I possess malice toward none. All that have breath seek my ending, In vain they would destroy that which was never created. Leaving all matter in the universe, Leaving all life, all energy, all thought, Becoming all that is left, the darkness. I go on and on without stopping , and there is nothing within me. You come as the light. Bright, burning, with warmth. You have conquered my world for a short time. Unalike, we exist together. In time we become as one. None may discern the ending or the beginning of our touch. Only that I am here, you are there. Two spirits bound in need. But soon you will fly again. On wings of light you depart to the source of your creation. As ever I shall remain, awaiting. Darkness will know no death. I am. Second: "Be My Guest" Were I to ask a favor, Would you grant my one request? I wondered if tonight, perhaps, You'd join me as my guest. I've planned a dinner, just for two, A cafe on Rue Vine. The meals prepared by gourmet chefs, The best in vintage wine. Our table will be softly lit, By single candle's flame. Romantic music to enjoy, By artists of acclaim. We'll talk of all the day's events, While dining on our meals. And afterwards, a dance or two, If that, to you, appeals. And later, if you care to, We may take a quiet ride, The beach is near, the moon will shine, We'll listen to the tide. I think that you'll enjoy the night, I'll call on you at eight. So if you've nothing else to do, May I please have this date? Third: "The Feeling" The moving of the forces within my heart Stirs my passions with thoughts of us I reach in the night And find you not there Knowing you would be if you could And knowing in our hearts, we are one I ache to hold you close to me To see the look in your face when you smile The twinkle in your eyes full of mischief And the amazing presence of your love when you enter a room I am in. All of this I carry with me I carry it with me no matter where I go I carry this cherished feeling of your love in my heart It occupies the depth of my soul And we are one With the other, in our dreams. Fourth: "Guiding My Path" Walking alone in the night Through fields of darkness Alone and in shadows To fit my state of mind Look up to the skies See the stars in their beauty Their pale, blue light Guiding my path. Imagine the distant past Never looking up But down at the ground Looking but not seeing These wondrous creations Of absolute splendor And their pale, blue light Which guided my path. Imagine the recent past Memories so clear Walking beside you Alone in the night I first felt wonder For the first time I noticed The pale, blue light That guided my path. Imagine the future In shadows uncertain Alone in depression Or together in love Walking at night With the stars in the sky And their pale, blue light Guiding my path. Walk alone through my mind In fields of darkness Never looking up But down to the despair When suddenly I notice A pale, blue light A glimmer of hope Guiding my path. (I don't know if anyone here knows/remembers me, but my internet died about a month ago and I haven't had access to a computer since that time. It's back up, and I guess I'll be posting some more.)
