You have to remember, not many UK citizens will have a clue about the policies and politics of the US. They just see a charismatic and handsome man where there was once... George Bush.

We really, really didn't like him.

Hardly. There are people on the other side giving it as good as they're getting. I doubt the Repubs here outn umber the Dems much, if at all.

Are you 100% sure on that one? All I see is anti-Obama this and anti-Obama that. It's kind of hard to tell.

Still, I could be wrong.

The socialist and liberals of europe, right?

We being the majority of UK citizens, from what I can gather. And not just the 'socialists and liberals' either; the right-wing press regularly made fun of him and ran negative stories.

Are you serious?

Britain is no more socialist than France, Spain or any other country in the world outside the US for that matter. Do you honestly believe that eveyone who isn't American is a socialist?

The mockery of George Bush in the UK was never particularly political... it was more the stupid things he kept saying every time he opened his mouth.

The majority or the loud mouth?

Guess what, we dont like it here that Obama is transforming the United states to a European socialist society.

Anyone who echoes the hatred for any US Republican President is indeed a socialist or a Liberal.

For you disagree with his policies, so it is stupid, right?

The majority who care to comment on such things. I can't recall seeing one positive newspaper article or hearing one positive conversation about him at all. And it doesn't matter whether or not you like it - the discussion is about whether or not world opinion of America has risen under Obama and yes, it has, immeasurably.

No, it's just really stupid.

You know, when he says things like "I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully." and "Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream."

Just... stupid.

Oh yeah, we heard about that. You folks has even given him the Nobel p*** Prize for merely talking the way you want him to talk.

Jimmy Carter was a hero then as well in europe, right?

And you buy into all the tabloids and blogs. Ever wonder if all those were true? Ever wonder what was the rest of the statement?

It called packaging the news, you cut a few sentence, package it and there you go.....,thumbsup.gif

And a terrorist I presume?

I didn't hate the man himself, he was a laugh, really good entertainment. I just don't agree with some of the stuff he did.

Again, the liberals and socialist does not represent the opinion of the world.

Yup and communist.

You people? The Nobel Prize isn't voted on. A small section of people in Norway decided to award it to Obama, yes. Funnily enough this doesn't represent the entirety of Europe's opinion.

I would imagine that few people in the UK know who Jimmy Carter is.

It's not black and white - hating George bush doesn't make you a socialist. My parents vote Conservative, and they hated George Bush as much as the next person. And it doesn't mean we think Obama's perfect, but he looks a darn sight better from where we're standing.

Who simply hates the United States, until it becomes weak and just like the rest of the nations.

I've seen both of these quotes and many, many more coming from his mouth on television. Even if sentences were cut out from either side of them, there's still no way they would make any sense.

Like I said, it is called search and destroy. Do you even know he served 2 terms? do you even know he won by a million vote on his relection? do you even know in his term we had 49 months of straight economic growth and unemployment bottomed at 4.5%?

No, all you watched was the propaganda.

Obama is a great orator and speaker, I saw that from the beginning.

Ever seen him speak in public without a prepared speech? He looks lost at times and keeps on going and going like he is lost....

Do you know he never held any executive position or responsibility until now?

Again, the liberals and socialist does not represent the opinion of the world.

Just parts of the world that have been blessed with free speech.

Yup and communist

And again, are you serious? This actually made me laugh out loud. I'm hoping this is sarcasm.

Yes, I did know all of those things. I also know that he ignored conflicting advice on WMDs, invaded Iraq with no real clue what to do next and without a UN mandate, refused to sign the Kyoto Protoco, I could go on.

Point is, people outside of America aren't interested in your economic growth and unemployment. They're interested in the decisions you make that effect the rest of the world. And George Bush made a balls up of all of them, hence the disdain.

And where would that be?

I want to understand how someone can think America is a darn sight better now than when Bush was President. What's better?

Do you have healthcare? No!

ARe you going to get it anytime soon? No.

Will it be free? No.

Will HC prices go up after? Yes.

Will insurance premiums go up. Yes.

Will quality of care go down in four years when the program finally goes into effect. Of course.

Has our national debt gone through the roof in one year? Yes.

Do we have a tyrant regime full of unnecessary communist Czars? Yes.

Has our constitution been trashed? More than ever before.

Is our government more out of control than with Bush. YES!

Are taxes going up? YES by 1.1 trillion bucks.

Has our President been proven to be a liar? Yes, over and over.

Has our President embarrassed us all? Every time he bows and appeases our enemies and every time he talks smack about America. Every time he refused to place his hand over his heart, and everytime his joker face is on the TV.

So tell me, what's a darn sight better?

What am I missing here?

Oh, the world likes our President. Our enemies like our President. The world including our enemies want to see us fall from grace. That's why they like him. He is making it happen. He has sold us down the river.

FIRST, the UN itself has been warning the world about Saddams WMD years before Bush even decided to run for office. The UN weapons inspectors been circling around IRAQ for the past 10 years, what the heck were they doing there?????????.

Second, Bush plan is to withdraw when an Iraqi goverment is formed that will not be hostile to its neighbor and the western world. Under Obama that task is about to be completed.

Third, UN mandate? You want us to wait for the UN while Saddam is fattening the head of UN itself KOFI?

As for the KYOTO, you europeans try it first and we will follow once your experiment turns out to be right?thumbsup.gif
