Welcome, Unexplained-Mysteries member, reader, maybe poster!

Welcome to the official U.M. "Predictions Watch" thread.

This is an official U.M. experiment and project aimed at taking a look at and tracking a general example of some predictions that have been made and are available, concerning what is left of this year, 2010. I'm going to post a selection of predictions and/or sites, and I'd like to pick out some of what I feel are the "better ones", the more likely to be able to judge definitely as either having come true or not. I also encourage anyone to suggest their own, either predictions they themselves make, or favorites they find somewhere (make sure to include a link so we can all see where you found it), and whether you think any/all will come true, or just your thoughts on predictions, perhaps the ones you most want to see (or NOT see) come true, etc. Note that UM does not endorse any of these sites, nor necessarily agree with any of their ideas, sponsors, theories, claims, beliefs or support any of their ideologies - I personally am using these for examples and resource links for this project, and no offense or agenda is intended.

This is an experiment in tracking and assessing predictions, first in scope and usability, then in specificity, then in actual accuracy and proximity and interpretation. We want to see how many of the predictions we find seem possible, but are also significant, and which aren't "shot in the dark" things that have always been predicted - but real, concrete things that we can point to as "came true" or "really missed that one". Let's see how accurate predictions are, shall we?

Remember, if you see any of these things happen, make sure to post here and we'll mark it off the list if it is agreed it really "counts" - this is why we don't want vague stuff, but things you can make a definite decision on.

Let's start with Psychics.Co.UK - it's a short list, not terribly remarkable, but it has some predictions.

*

Bin Laden dies.

*

Quantum physicists discover extraordinary way generate electricity from water.

*

MP caught in indecent act in public toilet.

*

Important public figure revealed to be a member of a white supremacy movement with 2010 seeing a serious increase in racist attacks

*

Secret human cloning experiment attempts to clone famous person.

*

X factor in 2010 will be won by a group of friends who were choir boys together.

*

Britain pulls out of Afghanistan leaving only a few token troops.

*

Iran gives up its quest for a nuclear bomb but North Korea continues to threaten peace.

*

Celebrity is kidnapped and a ransom demand made.

*

Barack Obama expresses an interest in holistic healing and ‘world healing’ becomes a dominant theme and key phrase to his 2010 speeches. He brokers a historic deal between Israel and the Palestinians.

Predictions for 2010 (Part 2)

*

The monsoon arrives late but falls as one torrential downpour causing unprecedented flooding and human tragedy. Florida too sees three major hurricanes in close succession that strike deep into the continent with higher than normal tremors on San Andreas fault line.

*

The Vancouver Olympics see a young person, who is barely old enough to compete, walk away with a gold medal

*

The last Big Brother series ends with tragedy as someone on set is seriously hurt.

*

System failures on the US space lab require a rescue mission with Russian help.

*

Petrol prices shoot through the roof as OPEC make price fixing deal with Russia.

*

Meanwhile, Britain and Germany make a green energy deal with a big new wind turbine factory opened in UK.

*

Japanese bullet train terrorist attack attempt is foiled.

*

Nationwide strike by civil servants causes widespread disruption. The Post Office unions continue to take strike action and the government announces that it plans eventually to renationalise the railways.

*

Police corruption claims are made as a huge illegal immigrant ring is uncovered.

*

Australia win back the ashes

*

European parliament move to make heroin legal for addicts who wish to take it under medical supervision. The war on drugs heats up as central London sees a street shoot out between rival gangs.

Next, this one isn't a big list, unfortunately, but the site is asserting these predictions have been accurate for decades and predicted all number of things, and these even go into the next few centuries, so let's check out World Predictions 2010-5079.

2008 - Assassination attempts on four heads of states. Conflict in Indonesia. That becomes one of the causes for the start of WWIII.

I don't recall this happening, does anyone else? Already one strike against this one, but...

2010 - The start of WWIII. The war will begin in November of 2010 and will end in October of 2014. Will start as a normal war, then will include usage of nuclear and chemical weapons.

2011 - Due to the radioactive showers in Northern Hemisphere - no animals or plants will be left. Muslims will begin chemical war against Europeans who are still alive.

WW3 remains a popular topic to predict. Let us hope that it is continually wrong, no matter who predicts it or when.

And now, the "laundry list" of predictions, Nikki - Psychic to the Stars, gives us over 100 predictions for 2010. I have taken the liberty of going through them and finding some that are automatically useless for our purposes, head-scratchingly baffling, and then finally, good examples of what I think are probably solid verifiable and specific predictions you can either look back on and either give credit for accuracy or shake your head and say "You sure missed that one!"

1. Trouble on the moons surface and atmosphere.

Not very specific, but as there has not been any in our lives so far, I'd be willing to give this one a go. Trouble for whom?

2. A hostage taking incident at a New York City bank.

Possibly more common than one might think, this still sounds like it could be specific enough to make news as a special report and be able to be confirmed.

3. An avalanche at Whistler, B.C.

Meh. I'm reluctant to go with "usual" disasters and such, as that's like predicting "it will snow". Still... I don't know.

4. The Lost City of Atlantis will be found.

Again? I'm iffy on this as being useless. Still, perhaps it will be another archaeological year where an Atlantis breakthrough will happen where some new info will emerge about the idea of it, etc. It would still technically count, even if it was theoretical rather than physical, I suppose.

5. More ancient Mummies will be found in Egypt.

Gosh, mummies in Egypt? Pass.

6. Treasure from a Spanish Galleon Ship will be found under the sea.

I don't know, I'm skeptical you'll find sunken treasure in a shipwreck but it's so crazy it just might happen. Pass.

7. A worldwide power blackout.

Sold. Either this will happen or it won't. At the end of 2010, you can look back and say "Did the power go out all over the world at about the same time?"

8. A tsunami in Japan.

Yawn.

9. Reptiles invading El Passo, Texas.

Bad Syfy movie plot? I'm willing to give this a little leeway, as it *could* be some strange migration of snakes into the town or something, but it sure does sound goofy. Either way, it ought to make the news.

10. Another shooting, this time at a US Naval Base.

Fairly vague - shooting at a US Naval base... not terribly unlikely, unfortunately. Let's see what else we have.

11. A terrorist attack at Edwards Airforce Base.

That's pretty specific. Let's go with it and hope it doesn't happen.

12. A fire on Broadway in New York.

Again, probably more common than people think...

13. A famous castle will burn to the ground.

Famous to...?

14. Giant bats will attack a city in South America.

. . . random B-movie plot generator results automatically disqualified.

15. Tragedy at an oil rig.

Generalize much?

16. A shooting in Copenhagen, Denmark in a popular shopping area - many people injured and killed.

I hate to do the dark stuff like this, but it's pretty specific, so seems a good prediction to add to the list.

I'm skipping ahead, there's lots of oil spills and terrorist attacks and such, but I'm really thinking of things that should really be significant and stand out. "Trouble at" and "So-and-so should watch their health" are really not valid.

21. A mysterious insect will kill the corn crop in Iowa, USA.

Poor wording but should be odd enough if it pops up in the news to ring a bell.

24. A fire at the home of the Wall Street Journal.

Definitely would be memorable.

Other good ones:

28. Passing of Fidel Castro.

# Many rare white lions will be found in Africa.

# A blimp exploding over a stadium.

They do NOT get credit for all three of these if anything happens.

# Danger around President Barack Obama.

# Assassination attempt against President Barack Obama.

# Assassination of Barack Obama.

# Yet another sex scandal in Washington, DC.

Predict water is wet, next. This one does NOT qualify.

# A shark kills a famous Australian athlete.

# A famous Las Vegas casino hotel will burn to the ground.

# Serious injuries to a Hollywood movie star on an amusement ride at a theme park.

# A person from the world of fashion will perish in a plane crash.

# A cure for the disease Lupus.

# Air Force One will be hijacked.

# Washington, DC. On fire.

# A famous Hollywood actor will be held for ransom.

# A politician's children will be kidnapped.

# A major heist at a New York museum.

# A robbery at Tiffany's in New York.

# An explosion at Rockefeller Center.

# A sea serpent will be found off the coast of Japan.(!!!)

# Invasion of Iran by the US.

This is a "guess" to me, not a prediction - it's popular rhetoric. I give it no credit either way.

# Sarah Palin will divorce.

# Another planet with life will be found in the Universe.

# A terrorist attack in London, England, Los Angeles, New York, Scotland, Ireland, Toronto, Florida, and Chicago.

ALL?!

# Arrest in the Madeline McCann case.

# Arrest in the Jon Benet Ramsey case.

# The Sydney Opera House in Australia will have a massive fire.

So there's a lot that could be usable from that link - anyone can provide more, or suggest alternates, or why some shouldn't be considered, predict your own, what ones would be most significant, etc.

BUT - please NOTE, everyone - this is a UM project - I will be moderating this thread personally, and it will NOT go offtopic - it may be moderated much more closely and strictly than others if necessary. I will not tolerate a lot of horseplay and chatter and such - this is NOT a chat thread, this is a thread that will be ongoing and stickied in the forums, for everyone to keep track of predictions coming true (or not), throughout the year, but you ARE welcome to comment and make USEFUL, informational and interesting comments on the topic.

Thoughts, predictions, etc?

It's like cold reading for the planet. I thought the first section was perhaps most likely.

Celebrity is kidnapped and a ransom demand made. (Don't give them ideas)

*

Barack Obama expresses an interest in holistic healing and ‘world healing’ becomes a dominant theme and key phrase to his 2010 speeches. He brokers a historic deal between Israel and the Palestinians. (A reasonable suggestion)

*

The monsoon arrives late but falls as one torrential downpour causing unprecedented flooding and human tragedy. Florida too sees three major hurricanes in close succession that strike deep into the continent with higher than normal tremors on San Andreas fault line. (Hope not but strange weather patterns are likely, nature hits back)

*

The Vancouver Olympics see a young person, who is barely old enough to compete, walk away with a gold medal. (Some young people people won gold and one person didn't walk away)

*

The last Big Brother series ends with tragedy as someone on set is seriously hurt. (It would improve ratings/sales maybe even a compo claim)

Good thread but not got time to go through it as much as I'd like. There are already a couple of oil spills and that fungus thing in N America. They reckon they found Noahs Ark, again! This could be interpreted to apply to Atlantis via a flood myth

12. A fire on Broadway in New York.

If the man had actually succeeded in exploding the Nissan Pathfinder in Times Square this may have been a very creepy acurate prediction.

15. Tragedy at an oil rig.

Well, this is very odd indeed.

Yes it is the scary things....Like the Pope and what is happening now.....

And what could go wrong between Iran and Israel?

An oil rig disaster? That is odd and good reason to continue....

Any thoughts?

Forget the Vancouver winter Olympics prediction that never surfaced. Look for these predictions to come true this year or later on the decade. The earthquake activity in Baja Cal. all month may count as accurate, except the faults involved are to the west not in the main San Andreas fault iself. And the NWS (National Weather Service) announced they expected a busy hurricane season for the Atlantic and US Gulf coasts, while Florida is right smack in between. But it's gotta be the funniest prediction: Obama gets into new age holistics, the religious right will cringe in fear.

I wondered about the oil rig thing. The prediction was actually an old one, and there had been an oil rig problem before this I think, but for the sake of argument, let's give it to the predictions and go out on a really liberal limb and say:

15. Tragedy at an oil rig. - true

Although I agree the Times Square was potential, luckily it did NOT happen and thus the prediction was not fulfilled and remains inaccurate. But yep, already got a "hit". We'll see how things go from here. Thanks for posting!

Nice Idea !!!

Quantum physicists discover extraordinary way generate electricity from water.

There actually is some insight on "How To Do This" if you are willing to evaluate Channeled Information.

New ways to obtain geothermal heat

It's all below your feet, not really that far away and its natural heat. It's hot enough for you to drill down and create steam. If you can create steam through natural process of thermal energy, then you can drive steam turbines and create electricity. That will create the power you need to survive some harsher winters and to heat your homes. Electricity may not be the most efficient method to use to heat a home, but it may be the cleanest in comparison to the methods that pollute the air. If you can create the electricity itself in a very efficient way, it becomes far more viable for everyday use.

Using steam, there are other ways to create electricity as well. Humanity is fond of very elaborate steam engines, and you've been using them a very, very long time. Today's nuclear reactors are simply very expensive steam engines. You heat water using nuclear reactors and create steam with that heat, which then drives your turbines. So we're giving you something to think about. For nuclear power, as clean and good as it is, has bi-products which are dangerous and you know this. Geothermal, although very clean, can also be dangerous. So now we open the discussion of something new.

If you can drill approximately five kilometers into the earth, you will find enough heat to make a steam engine work. Now, five kilometers to you is not all that far as measured in a straight line along the surface of the earth. Many of you actually walk that distance to school and work and realize that it's not that far. But if you're going to drill that distance, technically it becomes difficult and dangerous. It's not just dangerous for the driller, but can be dangerous for the planet. On the way down through the crust of the earth to the five kilometer mark, you go through pockets of attributes... releasing gas perhaps; releasing fire, perhaps; releasing water, perhaps. If nothing else, sometimes you interrupt what we will call the integrity of the lubricant of the shale itself. What I'm saying here is you might even advance the potential of an earthquake, all by drilling down only five kilometers.

So now I'm going to give you the answer of how to make steam without drilling so far down, and it requires thinking "out of the box" of what you have always assumed. All along you're thinking that you're going to drill down and put a pipe in the earth with water in it. You put water in, and get steam out. However, what if I told you that you only have to drill down a fraction of that distance, and you will find enough heat to boil fluid! You'd say, "Impossible." This feature exists over the hot spots of the earth, which have heat very close to the surface, but those attributes don't exist in most of the places we're asking you to drill. The answer is not to use water. It's time to marry the highest technology that you have on the planet, with things you didn't expect to marry them with, and this is thinking out of the box.

This is the kind of thinking that is becoming a little more quantum, seeing the entire picture instead of just seeing what you think it should be, or what you are used to. There are solutions here, and some already know what they are. There is elegant chemistry that will boil at a fracture of the temperature that water will, and this is the answer: Learning to use those substances and those fluids with this chemistry within a geothermal closed system machine, which doesn't have to drill down five kilometers. How about two kilometers? Using this known chemistry it will be possible to drill only a fraction of the distance, and get the heat you need for steam.

So we tell you this because you're going to need to do this. If you heed this advice, you'll find that the timing and the synchronicity of discovery is at hand. That is to say, you will understand it all and realize that the elements will fall together and you will get your steam engine. And it won't take five years to build and it won't be dangerous and you don't have to cover it with a shell. Much easier. It won't belch smoke. It won't pollute, and you don't have to worry about being next to it. Think about it... natural heat from Gaia that is forever! It will create electricity you're going to need to heat homes and businesses... because eventually it's going to get colder. That's number one.

The link for the entire message is:

For those of us who like to consider scientific solutions that go beyond conventional wisdom, the Kryon messages have always been quite revealing.

Well, the closest that matches, I believe, is:

# A terrorist attack in London, England, Los Angeles, New York, Scotland, Ireland, Toronto, Florida, and Chicago.

Unless the others also occur reasonably soon (pray they don't), I have to give this one a pass, because the prediction specifies ALL these locations, and doesn't say "attempted" or "foiled" - you can't just fudge two entire details and call it good. But again, certainly it is potential.

A few of the web-bot predictions for 2010

No warfare between Israel and Iran, at least not until November.

Six very large earthquakes are yet to come during the rest of 2010.

A major tipping point will occur between November 8th 11th, 2010, followed by a 2-3 month release period. This tipping point appears to be US-centric, and could be a dramatic world-changing event like 9-11 that will have rippling after-effects. The collapse of the dollar might occur in November.

From July 8th, 2010 onward, civil unrest will take place, possibly driven by food prices skyrocketing, and the devaluation of the dollar.

A second depression, triggered by mass layoffs, bankruptcies, and the popping of the "derivatives bubble," will see people moving out of cities.

After March 2011, the revolution wave will settle down into a period of reformation.

My predictions for May- June 2010 from " Timewave Zero Research ":

I want them to be verified

MAY 2010

Big event possible economic crash and carcity of food for a accident or scandal or such event

Europe or near Oregon, Usa

Fungus-spore disease that is now rising in Usa will get much worst

Turmoil and riots in Mexico

wave of riots and mini-revolutions similar to 1848 ones

JUNE 2010

Mississippi Flood

Po river, Italy flood

China very significant riots and rebellions

Wild animal goes wild escaping from zoo in England

Also, don't forget NOVEMBER 14 2010 and JANUARY 17 2011

Just want to add my " famous " predictions...

Now these one, from prophecies. us forum:

http://prophecies.us/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1262801676

Carry-Overs from 2009:

1. The Royal Family (England) will have a bit of a shake-up--a theft or robbery of some type, a death, an engagement, also maybe a new baby expected. (The robbery is the carry over, I added a few new items).

2. Space problems for both shuttle and space station, there is a potential for the space station crew to be forced to evacuate. I see a scandal at NASA involving a murder-suicide which will involve at least one astronaut. I also said BIG secrets will be revealed in a book and recall that a book was being published but then never heard about it again. I also see an attempted act of intentional harm by an unbalanced person to seek to harm a mission but it will be caught in time. Charges will be filed against the person involved.

3. Terrible flooding in Germany, especially NW rivers.

4. Increased quakes in the pole regions of very high magnitudes.

5. Watch Stromboli!

6. In Netherlands, Sweden and surrounding countries, I see ongoing and increased mass shootings and killings, like US Columbine. There will be political and spiritual upheaval in Sweden. (this is already happening but I am posting this again)...

7. I see illness in the pope., if he has health issues, he should be brought to a doctor QUICKLY!!!!!!!!!

8. I see a horrible suicide/accidental death in a young actress. I elaborated on this recently, but it will be a "party girl" type, someone always in the news, very famous and troubled.

9. Nancy Pelosi will be in hot water, deep "doo-doo", maybe will lose her seat or have to step down from part of her role. Also, there will be a shake up in both Congress and the Senate (already happening), and several long-time officials will not be re-elected.. (I added the last part, but already posted about Pelosi)..

10. Acts of terrorism will continue, but world-wide, France, Spain, India, Africa, UK, other places, too. Any US franchise is a possible target, also hotels, tourist attractions and such. Car bombs will be used in most of these, some will be stopped in time, but not all. I am adding to this that in the US, while several events were stopped in 2009, in 2010, we will not be as lucky and at least oneor two acts will occur. It will involve one mass shooting and the other a bomb.

11. Much will be revealed about Cuba, which will be free. Remember my post about Castro either being dead or in an invalid type state... (#16 in my 2009 posts)......

12. Watch Vancouver and NW US for quake activity

13...Las Vegas will be impacted by a moderate quake. Among the places to get damage will be the Hard Rock Hotel..

There may be a few more to transfer over to this year, but those were the ones I found so far...

Here are the new ones:

1. San Franscisco will face both a moderate quake and again another fire. The damage will be pretty significant to horrific. Likely in 2010.

2. I have posted about volcanoes for two years. Very much increased activity with 3 (in the triangle shape I mentioned) affecting travel and climate.

3. A horrifying serial killer will be caught in Russia or a near by area. He will be found to kill hundreds, it will shock the world. I think he will have in his name VLA as partial letters. I can see his face, looks like an "average Joe" with the meanest eyes you can imagine.

4. Mass shootings will still happen in US but decrease, increase drastically in Europe and areas near by, also Japan and China (though not all will use guns).

5. As others have mentioned, but I see, too, unusual Sun activity that will affect Earth.

6. Problems and drama in Vegas. Horrible robberies, the quake I mention, another fire in a large resort/Casino, scandal on a large scale. Also a construction issue in that newest, largest casino ever built there (forgot the name of it). It may end up closing down or temporarily shut down..

7. As others have said, and I also predicted, 2010 will have a horrible winter, late into the season, record number of deaths from the cold, even into parts of summer. It will be called the Winter of Hell in Europe....(and US).

8. A very scary event at the Winter Olympics. It could turn into a tragedy.

9. Economy will have no measurable improvement, even though the powers that be will try to spin improvements where there are none. I also see a tremendous spike in gas prices again for some reason that will last a good part of the year, adding to economic woes.

10. BIG QUAKES in the following regions (7.0 or higher): Peru/Argentina areas; Pole Regions Both north and south; Indonesia, Melanesia; Russia and Japan and China; Afghanistan region, maybe off the coast of Canada/Vancouver area as I mentioned before. At least 2 of these will have regional tsunamis, but it is possible for a larger scale tsunami in one.

In Europe/Italy, not a 7.0 but a lesser magnitude that is in a highly populated area, causing mass casualities and damage.

11. NW US, Vancouver/Alaska--very scary dangerous quake.

12. Hurricane season--in US, not horrible, but some activity. Florida, Carribean and Cuba will get the brunt, maybe South Texas/Mexico, not terrible however. In Pacific, however, prepare for one of the worst seasons on record.

13. The CIA will receive another sad deadly blow.

14. I carry over the death of a famous baseball player (accident), but add in the death of a famous news anchor (also accident) and NFL player, very famous, will die a violent death.

15. In US, a train derailment will be terrible, with a dangerous chemical leak, small town, many will die.

16. In politics, several "big dogs" will lose seats or have to leave office. We will also lose one senator to death, and a couple of congressmen to illness and such.

17. Remember what I said about the shoot out in the West. That vision is strong and likely sooner, rather than later event. At least 10 police plus civilians will be harmed, the shooters will be killed.

18. Remember Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl, who was captured in Afghanistan. Keep him in your prayers. I don't know why this is so important or what role he will play, but his fate affects things on a larger scale.

Ok, Joiner, we'll add your post here to the list - but NO updating it for right now. The above is your prediction list and I want to keep this thread open for normal discussion from various people and not multiple variations of the same person or set of predictions. Thanks for your post, we'll see how all that pans out with your timewave idea.

Well, I'm just gonna throw this in.

Apparently there's going to be some huge 9.2 earthquake in or along the Mexican coast or something like that, most likely on May 14.

This comes to you from the alienz from the federation of light.

Unfortunately, I've lost my source links but will try hard to find them back.

I also found an interesting one where someone may or may not have predicted the Polish airplane crash in Russia, where their president and other important people died.

Well, I found the link to the earthquake prediction. Actually, I found several.

source 1

source 2

source 3

I haven't been able to find the source of the maybe prediction abt the Polish plane crash in Russia. I just can't remember how I found it. However, I did share the information with the OP, off site, when I found it, so at least he can verify that he has seen it. We gave it a thumbs up, even though it was a bit vague, because it was specific enough to be too close for comfort and not just a general prediction which one might be able to read anything into. I will continue looking for that source.

I can confirm it - it's good but I was wanting someone besides me to post it to try to get some outside interest in the thread, and I guess this counts. So we'll see about further info on the plane and any other disasters - fingers crossed for none, for the sake of humanity of course.

I am waiting for my prediction of failed terrorist attack to happen In June/July of 2010, clear sunny day from 11 am to 3 pm is the time frame. It's already been posted in the dream section, as well as video on youtube. I have tons of others I have already posted in so many other place it isn't worth it...however this one is coming up and it's a friendly reminder. I posted it on feb 25 2010

http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=176495&st=0&p=3305760&hl=terroist%20attack&fromsearch=1entry3305760

Thank you

Also Dec. 6th something very bad will happen to president obama (2010)...I think that's all that needs to be said for right now.

If you wish to see some of my other predictions go to my youtube link, which has some of them on my videos.

Sorry I keep on adding things, uh not to long ago I had a quick dream of being on camping grounds, and on this ground near the parking lot an explosion occured and lots of things went up in flames, no clue where this happened, I know that it was US and that it was at a camp site, and Im not sure what caused the explosion, it was night thou and there were people running to get away from it. (fire)

Thank you for posting Puridalan. That's a pretty specific prediction, and that is the point, to see just how accurate people can be - I'll even go with June-July for a month window, 11am to 3pm, that's still pretty specific. Dec 6th 2010 specifically for Obama, that seems a valid prediction, and I presume it will be public knowledge. We can keep the bit about the parking lot and camp grounds and explosion in mind just for posterity, but is too vague to qualify as a valid official addition to this list.

My faves...

"Quantum physicists discover extraordinary way generate electricity from water."

I'm not sure if it will be a quantum physicist, but with interest in other energies someone could come up with something good. Maybe with using the thermal aspects of water rather than atomic.

"Secret human cloning experiment attempts to clone famous person."

Extra creepy fan with a serious degree and the facility to use it? Maybe.

"Celebrity is kidnapped and a ransom demand made."

Extra creepy fan. Again, maybe.

I'm gonna toss in a prediction of a celebrity injury or worse due to a mob of fans. Also a female being attacked or worse for her engagement to a beloved male icon.

"Tragedy at the Grand Canyon."

Could be the glass shelf, that would be frightening. But tragedy did strike just recently there. Didn't make national news. From the National parks website: man shoots himself

Does it count to make the prediction true?

"A mysterious insect will kill the corn crop in Iowa, USA."

Mysterious how I wonder? Like not knowing what bug killed the crop, or not knowing what the bug is when it is found, or not knowing how that particular bug showed up in Iowa? Interesting possibilities with the growing season getting underway now. It is also interesting that Iowa would be the only state in the prediction. If it's bugs, they would probably sweep across the entire corn belt, or at the lest the part of it west of the Mississippi. A river that big might afford some protection to the eastern half of the belt, depending on the bug.

My bug prediction: Scientists will discover what the root of the bee problem is.

Okay, for the sake of argument, though it's extremely vague, let's call this one a hit.

Let's even call the oil rig disaster a hit.

We'll give the New York attempted terrorist bombing half credit.

ROFL at half credit..pshh why do they get credit, but other predictions that are more accurate and way more detailed get tossed aside :P

Maybe quote the prediction with the reference? Might be handy as the thread goes on.

Just figured id toss that out there. ^_^

Can I post one of my predictions here? It's an old one. Basically, it says Iran will attack the US fleet in the Persian Gulf. Either that or they will explode a nuclear weapon this year.

I recently noticed a report about Iranian missile tests done during "The Great Prophet 5" war games by Iran. A CNN article quoted an Iranian offical as being very pleased with anti-ship missiles that had been fired from different locations, but which all struck their target at the same time. This reminded me of a prediction I had made 3 or 4 years ago. Included in this prediction was the fact that Iran had launched a sneak attack on the US fleet in the Persian Gulf, and missiles fired by Iran had been structured so as to strike at the same time. Below is a copy paste of this prediction as written 4 years ago.

War in Iran: A Psychic Impression of the War

The generally accepted theory is that the United States will launch an attack on Iran with our air force and naval units in an attempt to knock out nuclear production facilities across Iran.

My impression is this is not how it will start. The intention of the part of the United States to attack Iran will be the causative factor, but I believe that Iran will actually fire first. The impression I have received is that Iran will launch a preemptive strike on US air and naval forces around the Persian Gulf after receiving what it believes are clear indications of an intention by the United States to attack its territory. This clear indication may come as an actual ultimatum delivered by the United States ordering Iran to either 1) cease its nuclear power program and/or refining of uranium, and 2) to stop supplying insurgents in Iraq with Iranian made weaponry, or 3) both of these.

Iran, I feel, will seemingly begin the process of complying with these requests. But a third nation will be supporting Iran with promises of stronger support if Iran takes a more militant option. I have a fairly clear impression of which nation, but I’d rather not say at the moment.

Military planners within Iran, I believe, have studied the wars of the Middle East with particular attention. Understandable considering their country is in the Middle East. From the 1967 Israeli-Arab conflict, and from both Gulf Wars One and Two, I believe the top planners in Iran have come to favor the notion—unlike their Iraqi counter parts—of a preemptive first strike. Waiting for the United States—or Israel—to strike first has not worked well for nations in the Middle East. When Middle Eastern nations have struck first, as Sadat did in 1973, the attacking nation has generally performed militarily better. I believe this mindset is currently coming to the fore with Iranian policy makers.

I believe this partly because of my logical, left-brained, studies of the region, but also in many ways I’m using left-brained logical arguments to support what I’m getting as psychic impressions from the right brain (or the Ether, or the other side or whatever you want to call it.)

Because it is from this right brain that I’m getting impressions like, “Sneak attack!” “Carrier sunk” “Missile attack on fleet!” The left brain is just there to justify what the right brain is saying.

As I say, the reason a conflict will start relates to an Iranian belief that the United States intends to attack. At the time, this will probably be a correct assumption their part. Iran will attempt to deceive the United States into lowering its military posture by seemingly going along with US demands. In reality, Iran will feel that it has little option but to attack, and will be receiving encouragement to do so by a sponsoring nation. Within a few hours, or a couple of days, of seeming to agree to US demands, Iran will strike.

I believe it may start on a weekend. The orders to specific commanders detailing times of attack, positions, and the weapons to be used will all be delivered by hand or by face-to-face conversation. The fear of intercepted electronic messages will necessitate this, and the strategy will be very effective. Coordination, while not 100%, will be close enough. My impression is that it will certainly be a very well thought out plan of attack by the Iranians. It will happen when they believe US personnel to be at their most vulnerable. An early morning attack before dawn is not unlikely. It will depend upon the positioning of US ships and Iranian beliefs on when best to strike. That said, I think it will come in the early morning hours of a weekend, probably early Sunday morning before dawn—parallels to Pearl Harbor notwithstanding. Whenever it comes, it will be a surprise. US naval crews won’t be asleep in their beds. (Unless they are onboard the vessel attacked by the Iranian submarine.) But they will have had very little time to get out of bed and get to their stations before missiles begin striking.

The attack will be timed very precisely. At the specified time, missile shore batteries will launch anti-ship missiles toward US ships patrolling in their areas. These will be supplemented by helicopters and aircraft also firing anti ship missiles. Iranian naval ships capable of firing missiles will also engage. Several hundred anti-ship missiles will be fired within a 10-minute time period of one another. The speed and range of the missiles will be calculated so that slower missiles and higher speed missiles will arrive at their targets near simultaneously. The primary target will be the US carrier fleet, and the US carrier at its core. Surprising to the Iranians will be the number of missiles that are destroyed in flight or which otherwise fail to function. Surprising to the US will be the number of missiles that get through, and how anti-missile capabilities are overwhelmed. My impression is that at least one, and possibly two, aircraft carriers will be sunk on the first day. A number of other surface ships will be sunk or damaged. My impression is that 7 ships will be sunk outright on the first day—mostly in the carrier fleet—with some 10 to 15 other US ships seriously damaged. Half of these damaged vessels will be out of action within 3 to 5 days after the attack. The first wave of the attack will take not more than 1 hour, and for most the attack will occur within as short a time as 15 minutes for some vessels. The primary target for the Iranians will be the US aircraft carrier.

At least one Iranian submarine will take part in attacking the carrier fleet. It will be destroyed. It may be that the first shot fired in the attack could come from this submarine. US aircraft and air-to-air missiles will destroy a number of Iranian aircraft and helicopters—15-20— taking part in the attack and several of the Iranian surface vessels will be destroyed by anti-ship missiles fired in retaliation by the US. Surprisingly, a large number of smaller Iranian vessels will survive, rearm at non-typical port areas, and start patrols for “targets of opportunity”, which will include oil tankers and cargo vessels in addition to US ships. The US carrier fleet operating in the Indian Ocean will be largely spared—although hits on two of its ships are possible.

Simultaneous to their attack on US naval vessels, Iran will also launch longer-range surface-to-surface missiles that will target US bases in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the Emirates and Kuwait. Airfields and airplane hangers will be the primary targets—although the Green Zone in Baghdad may be targeted. These missiles will have little effect on destroying aircraft but will manage to damage runways and other facilities, causing problems with launching air patrols. Neither nuclear nor chemical weapons will be used by Iran.

Initial reports will be met with shock in the West. Predictions about US strikes on Iranian facilities from the days before will cause some hesitation on the part of news organizations in the first couple of hours. Worries about inaccurate reporting of the events will cause several networks to delay their coverage. Military sources in the US will also withhold initial damage estimates for several hours after the attack. The first real indication of an Iranian attack for world media will come when Iranian missiles begin falling on US bases and international airports in countries that are hosting US troops. The reports on naval losses will come later in the day.

The US response will be immediate. Air units from other aircraft carriers and from bases in Iraq and other Gulf states will begin search and destroy operations against Iranian ships, aircraft, and missile batteries stationed on the coast of Iran. Surviving naval units of the United States will largely head for safer areas in the immediate aftermath of the attack, owing to incomplete air cover by the US. Later, within hours or the next day, US naval forces will be back on station and on the offensive.

Reports of Iranian military mobilization of its ground forces in Western Iran will cause a defensive posture among US ground forces in Iraq. Insurgent activity among Iranian-backed militias in Iraq will cause US forces to entrench rather than mobilize. Iranian mobilization will not be the vanguard of an invasion of Iraq—although the rulers in Iran will keep that option in reserve. Mobilization of Iranian ground units will forestall a US invasion of Iran by ground, however. In no part of the war will other than minor incursions of foreign territory occur from both sides.

After the reports of US naval losses are reported, Iran will announce to the world media that it has launched a preemptive strike against the US in response to clear military threats against its national sovereignty and that it stands ready to honor any mutual cease fire agreement reached with the United States. Up until the reports come in from the US military via new coverage, Iranian leaders will have had no clear understanding of just how effective their attack has been. Some trepidation over the success of their attack will cause doubts within Teheran’s government. The United States will immediately reject this call for a cease-fire. World opinion will be mixed. Support from Israel for a continuation of the war with Iran will be met by calls for a cease-fire among Arabian and Muslim nations, as well as from China and Russia. Even support among Western nations for a continuation will be lacking.

Gasoline prices at the pump will double within hours of the announcement of an attack. The ceasefire request rejection by the United States will cause a further increase in prices. Supply concerns, and not simply oil price speculation, will create an immediate panic.

The war with Iran will last between two and four months. This war will primarily be composed of aircraft battles over Iran, bombing and commando raids by US forces on Iranian targets inside Iran, and one-sided naval engagements pitting the US navy against much smaller, lighter armed vessels. Iranian hits on US vessels will never reach the same level as the first day of the attack, although occasional losses of ships and planes will occur for the US. Iranian attacks by long range missiles will be launched against Saudi Arabian and other oil field facilities sporadically.

US attacks on Iran will be far more successful after this first day. Unlimited sorties by US forces a la Gulf War I will not be achieved though. Bombing will be harder and limited by distances and Iranian interdiction efforts. US carriers will not conduct operations inside Persian Gulf waters but instead will remain in the Indian Ocean. Iran’s navy will largely be destroyed, but some smaller attack vessels will survive until wars end and the initial first day victory by Iran against US assets will outweigh any and all naval losses suffered after this. The Iranian air force will suffer serious degradation over time, but not to the point of ceasing to be an active force.

On the home front of the United States, a degree of chaos will reign. The economy will suffer an immediate hit the first day. Gasoline supplies will be distributed in a haphazard fashion related more to economics than to actual need, and shortages, or outright “no gas”, will occur in many areas. Crime will increase. Thefts of gasoline will increase dramatically and carjacking murders will skyrocket. Many areas will become similar to war zones. Supply disruptions of food will occur as gasoline and diesel is reduced. Martial law will not be declared, but National Guard units will patrol in some areas. Airlines will feel the pinch more than most and many companies will not survive the war, or will suffer tremendous setbacks.

At the same time these events are occurring, there will be elements of the Iranian military at work in the United States doing minor acts of sabotage and terrorism. There also seems to be a day long incident that will happen wherein a gun battle with a small group of Iranian soldiers will occur in The Streets of a large city. One act that seems fairly clear to me is an attack on airliners by terrorists using shoulder-fired missiles…possibly in the Memphis area. Disturbing to many will be the fact that these attacks will in all likelihood be carried out by people wearing Iranian military uniforms at the times of their attacks—although they would have come dressed as civilians to the country beforehand, a fact that will ignite a controversy on their status as prisoners of war.

A number of US prisoners of war will be taken by Iran. US Air Force pilots (I’ve actually gotten a list of some names during one minor vision) shot down, and Special Forces soldiers caught behind the lines in Iran will be the primary source, along with a few sailors picked up at sea. Surprisingly, my sense is that the Iranians will treat these prisoners with relative humanity—not something that I, myself, would believe without being told by my spirit Guides.

At the end of about three months, the realization will come that a quick victory in Iran is not going to be achieved. Calls from within the United States to end the war and return some normalcy to the economy will begin to reach deafening levels. Similarly, Western allies will be begging the US, and under this pressure, the US will accept a cease-fire. The US will argue that it has achieved its goal with the retarding of the Iranian nuclear program, which it will have done….for at least 5 years or so…., but the majority of the world will see Iran has having been the victor, equating their continued existence as a functioning state without US invasion forces in country as being an example of victory.

Gas prices will moderate after the ceasefire is announced. Dropping in price as supplies of Saudi Arabian and Iranian oil begin to reenter the market. Prices will not return to pre-war “lows” however.
