Denver residents are set to vote in August on whether to allow a commission to investigate if the government has covered up the existence of aliens, but another group of Coloradans is attempting to put a stop to the probe, KDVR reported late Thursday.

Jeff Peckman, a supporter of the Denver Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission, claims the government has covered up the existence of aliens, alien abductions and extraterrestrial cures for cancer.arrow3.gifRead more...

I wonder how far this little plan of theirs will go?

I wonder how long it took the opposing commitee to come up with a suitable name that had the initials MIB, lol.

Why does the proposal need a ballot?

I would have thought that Colorado had an IT team in place anyway just for keeping the website updated. Doesnt mean that this 23,000 bucks is an additional cost at all.

The government could not cover up a sexual encounter in the White House. How does anyone conceive that they could cover up a secret of this scale and for so many years?

the govt at large doesnt give a damn about the president. unless it involves keeping certain people in positions in power.

MIB says the Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission’s goal of posting its findings on Denver’s website would cost the city $23,000 a year

Could it really cost that much?

What a waste of tax payer dollars. Even if it does pass, are they really going to get any answers? Probably not. If there really is a cover-up and they all the evidence in the world, the government will still simply deny it. And what if they say there was a cover-up, what then?

Let's put this money into something more useful.

Fascinating what Denverites would do since they passed a law legalizing Mary Jane... :P

How about something like this, which is similar to what was reported in the JAL 1628 case and, when an Air Force KC-135 encountered possibly the same object two months later.

Great stuff. Press on, Peckman. More states need to do this (and buy ear plugs to ignore the naysayers on the sidelines).

I don't get this to be honest. The existence of alien life will be verified through one of two means, either by ET suddenly hovering over a major city somewhere or by through rigorous scientific exploration and analysis.

Cheers,

Badeskov

B, rigorously studying science guys and gals first need to be warmed up to the possibility that there even is an embargo or coverup. Otherwise they're not going to pursue the matter. That's the main goal of the initiative: to demand that steps be taken by the Government to look into this or fess up.
