'Al-Qaeda ringleader' wins appeal against deportation

The alleged leader of an al-Qaeda plot to bomb targets in north-west England has won his appeal against deportation.

A special immigration court said Abid Naseer was an al-Qaeda operative - but could not be deported because he faced torture or death back home in Pakistan.

Perhaps a good time for our new government to form a squad to make people like this disappear.

.... the thing is he hasn't actually been charged with anything, and the evidence was considered "Secret" so it couldn't be revealed.

Options? Deport him, there's no case against him in the UK so depòrt hm...

Er....but that's what the story is about! He's won his case against deportation, & using 'human rights' legislation to do it.

i.e. it would be against his human rights to deport him back to pakistan in case he is tortured, but presumably the human rights of the public to not be blown up are secondary. Even you must admit this situation is absurd.
