Demonic possession - audible examples...

It is very interesting as a thought experiment to assume there are Gods. Then assume it is no coincidence our world today looks exactly like the prophecies said it would look like at the end.

Is it not quite fair to say that those who are mocked today for believing in Gods and self-cultivation, and acting in a corresponding way(taking some suffering, eliminating their worldly attachments and trying to be as virtuous as possible) will be the ones favored by the Gods in the future?

Is it not fair that those evil people who slander Gods, do egoistic, bad stuff and only bet on themselves being Gods are worse off or even eliminated(in case they have done unforgiveable sins)?

These bad people are wrapped up in karma with no contact left to their original benevolent, true selves. They are angry every time they suffer a setback, they can not realize there is a reason for their suffering. These people are obsessed by themselves and this place and have forgotten everything about their real homes.

Everything will be fair in the end, just like Swedenborg said. It does not matter which ethnic group you belong to, you will get what you deserve.

I see your logic there and I partially agree with it. You're judging god from a rather religious (but nothing specific) point of view. We are free, we haven't got a clue about any god, the only sings we have are humans who claim to have experienced something different or even talked to god, but we all know how credible humans are...once you see that, you should ask yourself, why would god punish someone for not believing a questionable truth? Are we here simply to entertain god or to find out what he wants from us, and those who are lucky enough to find out the truth will never in fact know 100% sure they are right and they will have no credibility whatsoever, so how are we supposed to know our place and purpose?

If you place a little girl in a room with a computer, this child will have an infinite amount of possible actions to take, but how is she supposed to know what you expect from her? She's not even aware of the fact that you're watching her and even if she was, she could only guess what you could possibly want from her, or she could just choose to entertain herself rather than believe someone she can't see is watching and testing her. If she fails to do what you expected her to, would you condemn her?

Obviously in the end we will find out whether such things exist, but for now it is a matter of belief. If gods just pick the ones who follow their rules and punish those who don't do what they want, then they are no better than us humans.

can't wait to see the answer to that, using religious ideals to explain scientific and or natural phenomena never ends well in my experience, I won't knock others beliefs, but try getting hard data from a mindset like those who espouse religion is like trying to nail jello to a tree.

Same could be said for people who are stuck with a logical scientific mindset. People forget what science actually is, it is not the be all and end all of everything. Science changes everyday, one thing can be missed from an equation and it can lead to a completely opposite result. As in the video it mentions the Earth used to be flat according to Science..... Yeah so I wonder how many people who thought it was round got shot down in flames before it became common knowledge. People need to understand that all science is is another way to try and explain things so that we can better understand our world and lives, and of course make our lives easier with new breakthroughs etc. But the whole point is this:

At this exact minute there is scientifically no 100% official cure for cancer..... So that is science yes? But in the next 5 years there could be and it would become scientific that there was a cure for cancer yes? So you can see how some people who constantly latch on to science can be proven wrong.

I laugh at people who say things like "UFO's can't get to Earth becuase the technology needed is impossible and goes against logic etc" well so did a man flying and now we sent 30 odd people up into the air in a tin can with wings..... Bet they never seen that coming when they where pulling their carriages with horses.

why would god punish someone for not believing a questionable truth?

Nobody will be punished for not believing in gods. Anyone with alot of virtue and a little karma will be saved. The likelihood of producing alot of karma by doing wrong without belief is higher. The rule can not be universal.

What is meant is that if one wants to rise up to high levels belief is the foundation. Then working hard on your heart and mind is demanded to be able to rise above and beyond everyday people.

how are we supposed to know our place and purpose?

Good question. While searching for "the right way" to live, the good person(with alot of virtue) will have a much easier time knowing if it is the thing or not. Virtue is in line with nature and karma not. Hence the enlightenment quality(and third eye) of the virtuus person is much better generally speaking.

the 'prophecies' said nothing of the sort.

Science never used to think the world was flat.

Science can demonstrate its results and share them as science is entirely based on evidence instead of simply making things up that sound nice.

There are cures for cancer depending on the time in which it was identified and the type, I know from experience. To just say cancer is erroneous as there are many different forms.

Us not understanding something is neither a valid complaint at science nor is it support for baseless claims.

Saying that applying logic to answer things is comparable to applying conjecture is just ridiculous.

Did I not just quote the Taoist god Lao Zi about the laughs...

He was a prophet not a god.
