Trail Camera Pictures

Evan, thanks for the heron photos. One of my all-time favorite birds. When I'm fishing from my kayak, I'm probably spending more time looking at herons than with a lure in the water.

no exotic findings, but got my first deer on cam. Very close to the house.

  • 2 weeks later...

Went out today behind the house. Behind the house meaning nothing but forest and meadows for about 100 miles until you might hit I-5.

I was hoping to see some Elk, Fox, maybe get lucky and a Bear.

I found a creek I never new about, but not much else until I came back to the house....

So, here is the creek, with some kind of flower, I think it may be one that eats bugs.....

But that is the normal at our home......This is a while back, about three weeks. I do not like posting pics of the resident Deer, does not seem the same :)

Anyway, our " back yard "....The chicken wire is to keep our 2 little dogs in

Beautiful shots Sakari. I like that flower!!!

Thanks for sharing them. Makes me homesick for the PNW.

It's been snowing here on and off all day today, but it looks like it's clearing up a bit, so I'm getting ready to go out for an early evening hike out by the great salt lake hoping to see some antelope.

Thanks for the complement Sakari.

I only saw one lone antelope buck. I managed to get close enough to get a few shot of him. It's fawning season so I suspect most of the heard is laying low. I did get some nice landscape and lake shots, but had to walk thru miles of mud flats to do it, but it was well worth it.

I'll post some of the photos I have taken in the last month or so tomorrow.

Here are a lot of pics from January thru yesterday. Hope you guys don't get overwhelmed or bored with them. I have literally thousands so it could be worse.

Barn owl after failed attempt to catch a mouse. Seems a little embarrassed.

A pretty sunset over the great salt lake. The closest mountain is Antelope Island, the furthest is the Stansbury Range I grew up on the other side of them.

This is my favorite bison on antelope island I've known him for years. He it easy to find in the winter because he hangs out in the same general location with his good buddy. I like him because he reminds me of myself, an old battle scared veteran that's seen better days. Note his broken and banged up horns.

Red fox, in the Stansbury mountains. Looks like something got a hold of his tail.

Very good eating......They sure smell good when field dressing them don't they?....

My wife would not eat them because of that.

Evan, have you ever tried getting your pictures published?
