danielost Posted September 9, 2010 #76 Share Posted September 9, 2010 Grow up, and stop repeating my statements. We are talking about a specific case, screw generalizations. Answer the original statement. i did. isreal gave land for peace and they have had peace with egypt since.

Pseudo Intellectual Posted September 9, 2010 #78 Share Posted September 9, 2010 Okay, I'll repeat myself...big deal, they had already taken it to begin with. Israel took the Sinai from Egypt in a defensive war. Israel could have achieved energy independence had they kept the Sinai. Giving it back was indeed generous. danielost Posted September 9, 2010 #79 Share Posted September 9, 2010 (edited) Okay, I'll repeat myself...big deal, they had already taken it to begin with. egypt didnt want sinai back until after isreal made it bloom. that means isreal put a lot of work into sinai before they gave it back to isreal. meaning egypt didnt get back just a sand box. Its still a sand box. They made the Jordan valley bloom, not the Sinai. Br Cornelius

Doc Socks Junior Posted September 11, 2010 #82 Share Posted September 11, 2010 ok my bad, but that doesnt remove the fact that isreal gave it up for peace. So, they gave up, for peace, a desert, which they had taken in the first place. Somehow I don't see this as the enlightened "land for peace" deal that you do.
