It started in strip clubs and became synonymous with elicit late-night entertainment. But pole dancing then entered the mainstream after celebrity endorsements of its fitness benefits transformed it into the latest exercise-craze. Now fears have been raised over the safety of the activity, after a mother-of-two was left paralysed following an accident during a pole-dancing class.
