i think i have seen a sunbow but never thought of it as such, just classed it as a sunset. :D

I saw this sunbow in the Smoky Mountains one evening. I had to run back to my office and pull a friend out to see it too just to make sure I wasn't seeing things!

If you live in a Mountainous area you see Sunsets on the daily. Especially if you live in a desert. El Paso, TX for example.

All colors, red, purple, pink to purple... Nice

LOL, I didn't know "sunbows" were a thing... anytime we can see the sun (which is admittedly rare in Western Washington) you see a sunbow. It's pretty standard as the sun sets behind the Olympic Mountains likely because there's a lot of moisture and even ice in the mid and upper atmosphere.

What I found fascinating was the huge number of Sun Dogs and Parahelic circles we saw around the sun this summer in my area... they were super neat!
