Jean Meslier (15 January 1664 – 1729) was a French Catholic priest who was discovered, upon his death, to have written a book-length philosophical essay promoting atheism. Man, this guy certainly was intense. It's interesting that he came up with what are basically communist ideas so long ago. I wonder if Karl Marx was aware of him.
