The Democratic National Convention

You wish I was wrong. I am looking now, but don't have all the time in the world. You can rest assured if I find something, I will post it. cool.gif

You don't seem to understand that I do not like either candidate. You(like joc) are making the assumption that because I dislike what Bush has done in iraq that I am a democrat and a supporter of Kerry. I am not.

I don't wish you were wrong, I have already posted polls that show that you are. I have looked at well over a dozen polls on the matter, large and small, and not one single poll puts either candidate ahead or behind across all states, or even in a majority of the states. None of the polls show anyone ahead by any margin larger than the error of margin of the poll itself, usually within 3%. It is a dead heat in most respects.

I will not be holding my breath waiting for you to post something... rolleyes.gif

The NWO will have as much effect on election

as voters if not more on whoever is the winner.

I do believe we should vote as a matter of principle.

I do not however suffer from delusions of self-importance.

Our votes count more as an example of principle I believe,

than actuality.

bush this and kerry that...no matter who wins the election...it wont fix the damage the US has done..and it wont stop the terrorist from hating us. as of now this country has no hope. we are either gonna destroy ourselves....or the terroists are gonna put us in a state of fear, terror and paranoia for the rest of our natural lives.

Sure Bush may help the rich people if he wins and Kerry may help the middle class and the poor if he wins, but no matter how u see it...this country will always be screwed. and it will never be that picture perfect country that so many ppl immigrated too back in the day. we will never achive "liberty and justic for all" but hey thats just how i see it.

and yes im very cynical. but being cynical is good for you! grin2.gif

Yes, we're pretty much screwed at this point. The best we can hope for is some damage control.

You sure can learn a lot from it about the candidates and what they actually believe.

not sayin that any1s done that lol cuz i really dont know...but its a thought tongue.gif

Yeah, I was being sarcastic, because Kerry is always changing his mind on things! grin2.gif

I feel that polls have huge potential for

misrepresentation.

They are worded by agenda driven people on

both sides.

Consequently, being partisan as they so often are,

I tend to not put much faith in them.

Although their influence on the masses can never

be underestimated in the shaping of public opinion.

Vote with your heart...

Not the popular direction the media often promotes.

EVERYTHING CNN says is on the CNN.com website.

After reading though this thread, I scoured CNN.com for the information babs has given.. and there was nothing. That information doesn't exist.

BurnSide... not true. I remember hearing about something from CNN, and then searching the CNN website for it so that I could post a link, and I couldnt find it.

In that case what was said was most likely an opinion by one of the hosts of CNN, right?

i'm pretty sure all important information, such as if bush was winning coast to coast, would be on the site.

No actually, what I saw on TV wasnt opinion. It was a piece of news.

I am looking in transcripts. Oh, well, I heard everything Fluffy posted and then I heard, coast-to-coast, Bush is in the lead.

Hey, the republicans haven't even started. wink2.gif

I still say just before the election, another attack will come. And bush is gonna whip out good ole #11490 and screw this country to the wall.

So imho it doesn't matter who's voting for who.. I know who I'm voting for, but for some reason, deep down, I don't think the elections will be in november.

Morality is the platform to choose.

Vote for the representative that embodies this.

In the end, without morality we face the grim

possibility of becoming a "paper tiger" living in

a house of cards, on a foundation of sand.

Look at every past civilization and the morality

structure.

When this goes...so does the rest.

Of course, defining morality is another issue in itself.

That is another debate altogether.

I heard something about Kerry on the radio today, Kellalor. grin2.gif It seems that the group stopped at Wendy's (remember when Kerry talked to the disguntled marines?) and ate. Well, they supposedly, ate. Kerry threw the Wendy's food out and ordered from a five star restaurant down the road called the 'Newburg Yaucht Club'. That was the real Kerry and Edwards family meal. This guy can't even eat with the commoners. They say he has a butler that follows him around with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at all times...whenever 'Master Kerry' feels like a peanut butter jelly sandwich this guy is on the 'ready'. laugh.gif

The point the radio anchor made was that Kerry is a phoney. The Viet Nam veterans that served with him, said that he can't be trusted sad.gif ... They also talked about his lies and deceit.

Hey, I believe it!....Why this guy even flip-flops on his meals! laugh.gif

It doesn't really matter, anyway. Bush is going to find some way of keeping him President. Whether it's another meaningless war based on false intelligence, or more ignored information that leads to another terrorist attack, he'll screw America over again. And again. And any country that doesn't already despise us will.

"Nobody wants to be the `war president,'" Bush told supporters at an "Ask the President" event in this swing state, one of two on the day's itinerary. "I want to be the `peace president.'"

--George W. Bush, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 7-20-04

"I'm a war president. I make decisions here in the Oval Office in foreign policy matters with war on my mind."
George W. Bush, NBC's 'Meet the Press', 2-8-04

No, Bush doesn't flip-flop at all.

There's no flip-flop in that, RulerOfSquirrels. He wants to be a peace president, but 911 forced him into war president. And he and Cheney are a da*med good team. thumbsup.gif
