All Ghost Hunting Reality shows are Fake

Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, Paranormal State, Scariest Places on Earth, Psychic Kids, Ghost Lab etc. All faked.

With that said. I believe ghosts, spirits, demons etc are real.

Thos reality shows are staged for dramatic effect. They have to have something or the show would be absolutely boring. Zak and Ryan's story are way to similar, I was always plagued or haunted by the "paranormal" btw I hate word, supernatural was replaced by the word paranormal.

Coming from a occult past--me not my family though there was a "witch" in my ancestory--I can attest to the fact that there are "powers" energies that are beyond our scopes of understanding and explantion, I've experienced it myself. I was a skeptical witch, though I'm male I prefered witch to warlock, and believe in psychics but not those like John Edwards, and the pseudo psychics of the reality shows, that annoying Chip guy on Paranormal State who reminded me of that annoying "medium" guy on Most Haunted, I think Ryan should get rid of him. A true psychic doesn't charge money or charges a moderate fee and will refund if the "reading" doesn't go well, a fake psychic charges hundreds of dollars and doesn't refund because of their disclaimer. John Edwards seems to have vanished from TV recently.

The only show that really has my respect is Paranormal State even if there are people opening doors, and making loud banging noises, knocking things off shelves etc. I know that is to keep the viewers attention. I respect the show because they rarely go to those famous haunted places like ghost huters and the good ole boys of Ghost Adventures go, Ryan and his crew go to real people's houses. Ghost Hunters started off like that but soon have strayed. Ghost Hunter International is way to much like Scariest Places on Eartrh now, though they rely way to much on the catholic faith.

Leading into my ghost experience.

No one believes or finds it hard to believe in spirits unless one has an experience in their own life. I was not haunted per se. No ghost throwing things off my shelves, pinching me, scratching me, or making my bed do strange things. My experience was more subtle and spiritual.

I was walking in town, it was around 10 pm, I was heading to a deli because I was dying of thirst, it was summer and it was very humid out for that time of night, and as I approached the deli, saw a friend sitting on one of the outside tables with a big ole brimmed hat on, the type they wore a long time ago--or still do in some places--to keep the sun out, around the brim was a wide red ribbon, it was the type of hat this friend wore alot.

As I approached her, she got up and went into the deli, I netered the deli and asked where the person was that just entered thinking maybe she ran to the rest room or something. I was told no one had entered the deli for the past 15 min and I was the first person they say. I told them, no, there was a woman who had a big brimmed hat on that just entered the deli, they looked at me as if I had two heads. I bought the soda and pratically guzzled it I was so thirsty. I shrugged it off thinking they were playing a joke on me.

The next day, not thinking of anything I opened the paper and saw an obituary for my friend, she had attempted to take her life a month before and was lying in a coma from an overdose of pills. He mother released her spirit by cutting off life support.

I've had other experiences esp with a deceased pets spirit. But I also believe they appear for a reason and its not to haunt you but to bring a message of comfort.

I also believe recently that Ryan Buell's show, PS, has acquired "clients" who are psychologically haunted and are in more need of a psychologist or therapy than a ghost hunter.

Like an episode I saw last night Satan's Soldier. First we hear how bothered those people are by the strange tappings, scratching and eerie atmosphere they are experiencing and they don't know is causing it, they've done nothing, then we hear the confession at the end, that the owner was invovled in satanism and Ryan warns the client at the end or towards the end, If you make a deal with the devil, he'll come to collect.

First making a deal with the devil is urban legend, there is no such thing as a pact or deal with the devil. That myth is as old as time. You can align yourself with negative forces and then change you mind, it doesnt mean those negative forces will wonder whats got into you why left and feel rejected and come and try to entice you back.

To make PS more respectable, get rid of Michelle and Chip, keep Loraine Warren, she's endearing, the one with the short red hair, well the verdict is, as far as I'm concerned is out for now. The producers of the show even wanted to try to get a romance going between Ryan and one of his non male crew, but Ryan has admited he's bisexual and it wasn't going to happen. Well him and Serg make a good pair.

Watch these shows for what they are, strictly and purely entertainment.

I agree theyre all, made for tv, and dont care about real results, BUT, i also would like to hear the evidence for them being faked.

Whatever Fake means in this case.

Just because we experience anything beyond our understanding doesn't mean all of them are fake nor all of them are real.

I think those sorts of paranormal rig stuff and act flakey just enough that if they really got something good.. It would be really questionable because the shows are cheesey...

But I like to watch some of them because they do get to go to haunts that I will probably never see myself, and I enjoy that :)

LOL, was that the one where the guy made the deal with the devil on a school bus when he was like in the 5th grade or something and they tell him that it's still lurking around decades later? They've had a couple like that, I'm not sure if that's the one, but the show's overwhelmingly Catholic, so it's to be expected. I would be so disappointed if they got rid of Chip, he's hilarious, I absolutely LOVE goes all b****ified and cusses at demons, so intimidating, lol. It's the most interesting of them all, at least. They may actually help some of the people who believe they have something and put faith in these people coming out and telling them it's gone, then it's gone. That one girl they exorcised though, the show was called Six or something like that, I think she's loving the attention or needs some major therapy, more than what that what the ghostbusters can do.

LOL, I love him, he makes me laugh so much, especially when he's all down and nasty. The exorcism episode, I think she deserved an award for the crappiest remake of a wannabe Emily Rose, it was almost identical. They always have these Deputy Doofy priests that they drag up to do them too, I guess they can't find just anyone.

Well in the UK under the television act, it's illegal to show the 'real' thing? and any form of show must come with a disclaimer stating FOR ENTERTAINMENT ONLY :tu:

That would be awesome if the reality shows were labeled "for entertainment only" here. Some people put a but too much belief into the, er, reality of the shows IMO.

Interestingly enough though shows like that are not labeled that way... Sesame Street is labeled "for entertainment only", so parents don't misunderstand and think it might have some educational purpose :)

I've actually met the Ghost Hunters guys a couple times and i trust them more than any other paranormal investigation team on tv. Paranormal State is utterly rediculous by the way.

The Ghost Shows are just as real as Operation Repo. If you haven't had a chance to check out that chuckle fest, please don't delay.

Strangely enough, that video itself has been debunked by a audio visual specialist. It was just the way the he patted the jacket that the fabric was pulled. Nothing mysterious intended.

Let me explain to you what I mean by fake.

Fake, as in tv producers exagerate the details, edit the telling of the experience to make them more dramatic. I'm not saying the stories are actually fake or their experiences, just the tv shows are dramatizing and embellsihing their stories.

Fear does strange things to us. A tab on the window late at night could either be the window blowing something like a tree branch that is close to the window, if you're in the right stage of mind you may think, its only a tree branch, but if you're all creeped out, your mind will exagerate it and you may think its a monster or demon trying to get inside.

A more realistic example is, you see a mouse, to me a mouse is a just a cute little creature that is misunderstood and maligned. That little creature has caused women and men to jump on table tops and do a jig or go into some form of panick. Did the mouse do anything to them besides scurry across the floor, look at them, then continue on its way. Or a snake, some people will see a snake slither by and suddenly they're running down the street faster than a porche. The snake is long gone by now, not even giving them much thought, yet people who are afraid of snakes will head to the hills or run inside the house and lock all doors and windows and hide in a closet.

Perfect example of psychic phenom is a mother and child a mother knows when that child is injured, sick or has a nightmare or when they've done something naughty. We all have it, some suppress it, some embrace it, some exploit it.

Amityville Horror house. I've been there a couple of times. I live on Long Island, its about an hour away from me. All the times I've been there I've fallen in love with that house more. Can't afford it though it just sold again for 1.2 million. Each time I've been there, I've felt nothing but warmth from that house. Where the demon or poltergeist went, who knows. Other than that. The Lutz boy now in his 30s still swears to this day something happened to him and his family, and the parents, up until they died, still stuck to their stories. George and Kathy each died within a year of eachother. One died of Emphasyma(sp) and one died of congestive heart failure.

There was an empisode where Grand was lying or sleeping in the bed, they showed a cover being pulled up from the bottom of the bed. It appeared there was a string connected to his finger where he just yanked the cover up. Do you remember this or know anything about it?

Fake, as in tv producers exagerate the details, edit the telling of the experience to make them more dramatic. I'm not saying the stories are actually fake or their experiences, just the tv shows are dramatizing and embellsihing their stories.

Would you be more entertained or take it more seriously if, say, Ben Stein presented it to you in the tone as in Ferris B. day off? Not sure about you but i think i would doze off before 1/2 way through.

Personally, my 2 favorites are Ghost Adventures and Ghost lab.

Ghost adventures to me is in fact the most entertaining as far as im concerned. Not sure if any or all of it is faked via overdubbing of the EVP's or people off set throwing things. I will say though, that i believe it was last years Halloween episode and they "debunked" when a device got thrown out of some dudes hand and went all the way down the hall. (i cant remember the guys name). They actually seemed p***ed that the guy just threw it and tried claiming that an entity had done it.

I believe that these shows were created for genuine reasons, their intial experiences drawing them in. I just cant believe that there would be so much activity in one place in a time frame of what?....8-12 hours? it would be more believable IMO if they were spendign say a week investigating a certain place and happened to get some EVP or video evidence.

Im not liking how G.A. is starting to do their shows. Opening it acting like they are in the service and are going to perform a service to the people? Just makes em look like bigger tools IMHO. Just go ghost hunting ....thats all.

Yet like a lot of the thing's on this Web Sight are realy out there yet people keep coming here. Do you hate Saru for making a buck? I guess I just dont see the fun of slamming everone and thing's .

I will answer this one......

Is Saru shoving Ape costumes into freezers and claiming Bigfoot?

Is Saru putting lights on RC Planes and filming them to post as " ET's"?

Is Saru Faking evidence on Ghost Hunting shows to gain popularity?

Is Saru putting on a Gilly suit and claiming to be a Werewolf?

Is Saru charging people to give " Psychic" readings?

What Saru is doing , is making a place where people can discuss things like I just mentioned , and people from both sides of the fence can discuss them......And with all of these people doing this , Saru gets more " hits" on Saru's site , and if Saru is " making a Buck " , then more power to Saru , and good job everyone !......Without people coming here and " slamming everyone and things " , Saru would not be able to make a buck , now would he?......And I do not know that Saru is making a buck to be honest , this site is pretty clean of advertisements , and no pop ups , so I think Saru enjoys having a site for people to discuss these things......

As for the first part , I used to like GH , until they started getting " big heads" , then they have faked evidence , and that I do not like...I still like GA , and Destination Truth ( when they do not Ghost hunt)...I do not believe in " Psychic ability" , so any show using that I hate...I could care less if they make money off of it , I hate when they lie to get ratings , and more when people believe it....Not sure I have ever seen a post with " Everything is Fake" , I think 95% of what I see can be answered , not because it is " fake " , because it is natural.....Than , you get the " fakes :" , and when this happens , it makes all other claims less credible.......

Jay and Grant have been shown to be hucksters probably more than any other show. I don't trust anything they present as evidence.
