body scanners and pat downs

are both anti constitutional. they are both searchs without getting a warrent.

the ex-judge on fox just said so too.

we americans have given up too many of our rights it is time to take some back.

there is going to be a national opt out day next wednesday, in which you opt out of the body scanners and allow the pat downs. remember both are unconstitutional.

I've heard some of this on the Alex Jones show...groping womens breasts in the airports by the security? O.o

I'm SO furious at what the TSA is doing I can't even type what I'm thinking at this point. But if anyone so much as gropes me or touches parts I won't anyone but my partner and my doctor touch....

No one bombed anything with the old safeguards in place, and they even caught a couple of potentials... they've effectively alienated me to the point to where I'm pretty sure I won't be flying.... and if anyone gropes me, my young nieces, mother, father or daughter, I will lose my mind. And no, the backscatter machines are NOT a suitable option.

The TSA needs to change something and change it FAST. I won't be flying until they do. Or, I"m going to make a BIG (legal) stink and get in trouble, and it will be worth it.

This has GOT to stop. I feel LESS safe flying now than EVER before.

I've stated again and again that if they want to add backscatter machines fine, but don't force me to go through them. I was just FINE with the current security measures of taking shoes off etc... I would brave the long lines because I'm not going through a backscatter.... will NOT do it. NOR will I let some TSA lackey feel me up. It won't happen.

Can't wait to fly again! They're gonna have to deal with me, and I'm guessing I won't get where I'm going.

"Now airport staff accused of putting their hands down passengers' pants as backlash over body scans and groin pat downs grows"

At least two passengers, including a 54-year-old Missouri City man, have complained about airport staff putting their hands down the front and rear of their pants - as invasive new screening measures are increasingly criticised.

Thomas Mollman, 54, said he experienced the controversial 'pat down' when he was trvelling through security at Fort Lauderdale Airport.

Mr Mollman, who was wearing shorts at the time of the search, said he was subjected to a 'groping' by a TSA officer, and he believe his experience was tantamount to sexual molestation.

He said: '[The officer] put his hand in between my underwear and my skin and did a 360 all the way around, touching certain sesitive points in the back and the front.'

Troll attempt maybe.

Been seeing this on the news and it's complete crap. I've also heard those refusing to go through this can face a $10k fine. This has nothing to do with security and only seems to be a way for preverts to get their jollies at work.

Next time you go through security, ask them how many domestic or islamic terrorists have actually been caught by these screening methods. Also am prepared just too strip down to a "man-thong" next time, and say its the same as there new fancy-dancy cancer causing machines..

Remember, these are the same group of government leaders that said if in a chemical attack we could protect ourselfs with duck tape, DUCK TAPE..

They're doing this to alienate passengers into going through their bloody scanners they spent a butt load of money for. They're gambling that no one wants their scabby hands down your pants and will opt for the screeners instead. This isn't about safety, it's about MONEY.

I'm still seeing RED about this.

I swear if I have to fly I'm gonna wear a bikini into the airport and if they so much as TOUCH me, I'm screaming RAPE, and I'm calling the police. I won't be flying optionally until they change the rules though. And I swear to God I'll do it. I'll strut through that airport in a two piece bathing suit. Watch for it on YouTube.

Oh, thats the other problem, the police wont do anything about this, they cant, its the federal government and they trump over any local law enforcment agencys. Just bring your lawer with you and have them stand off to the side would probably be your best bet.

Can this possibly lead to nation-wide protest? Does anyone think they can overturn this situation? I certainly hope so, because it p***es me the hell off!

I swear, I'm half thinking of writing a dandy little letter to the TSA and doing some due dilligence and asking them if I wear a bikini to the airport, will they molest me? What about some really tight skinny jeans which can't hide my panty line, much less a bomb? Honestly, these people are SO SO frickin' STUPID. They're truly a bunch of R-tards.

I'll say it again... I'm now more afraid of MY federal government than I am of terrorists on planes.

Its one thing when it's me and I can do this kind of thing... it's totally another when it's my young nieces or other children. The scanners are essentially breaking child indecency laws are are tantamount to pornography, and anyone that touches a child in this manner during a VERY questionable pat down should be charged with taking indecent liberties with a child.

I'm not typically an alarmist, but this p***es me off so badly, I"m willing to pull out the stopper on this one.

If we the American people don't do anything about this, it could possibly lead to more rights taken away from us. I'm also not an alarmist, but these kind of measures taken, make me very angry.

MisMelWells, I wouldn't want you to be put in any danger if you show defiance against them at the actual airport. I like the idea about writing a letter instead. :tu:

You people seem to forget that flying is not a right. Nor is driving.

You are perfectly free to walk to your cross country or international destination, or take a boat partway. (though, unless you have your own boat, you will have to be sailing on someone elses property and leaving the united states...)

If you don't want to be scanned or patted down, you don't have to fly. (going into a courthouse or other public building is different, IMO.)

Now, if enough people cry about it, maybe there will be a change. But there is no legal recourse, IMO. Because you don't have to fly, and flying is not a protected right at all. The only way this would be different is if airlines were publically owned, or owned and operated by the gov't.

But they are PRIVATE BUSINESSES (though most publically traded).

It's bad enough for the average person. I can imagine how terrible it would be for someone who was molested/assaulted in the past. Especially if your job required you to travel. This needs to be shot down fast.

I will have to fly soon... I have to go to Arizona for work in the next couple of months (and Neogenisis, I can't drive or take a train, or a bus, my company won't allow it, I am forced to fly, doing it any other way is simply too expensive in time and money because time is money and I do NOT have a choice---Getting fired is NOT an acceptable alternative. We have enough problems in this country economically and employment wise to fire business travelers who won't subject themselves to government molestation and pornography. I did not commit a crime, I WILL NOT be strip searched... flying is NOT A CRIME.... an airline ticket is a service I PURCHASED to use. If the airline were putting these rules in place, I'd boycott the airline, but the airlines HATE these rules and they did NOT put these rules in place!!) In a sense flying is a right... I bought a service and the airline wants to provide it, but BOTH the airline and I are being strip searched by the government? Screw that!

I swear to god, I will show up at the airport wearing an overcoat, which I will gladly put through the scanner and I WILL walk through security wearing a bathing suit. They lay one hand on me and I will scream bloody murder. When I'm showing them, in person, EVERYTHING their cancer scanner does, they don't get to lay a bloody finger on me. I'll make sure everyone in line has their camera phones on.

My sister has to fly to Hawaii with my nieces in January. She has NO option but to fly, there are no boats to Hawaii anymore and swimming is rather out of the question. She and my brother in law MUST be there to sign some documentation in person on a piece of real estate. She's already bought her daughters one piece body suits with tights and ballet skirts they will wear, and if anyone lays a hand on them, they will scream "Stranger Danger and Stop Touching me Inappropriately" They've been instructed to do so.

This is what my nieces, American citizens, ages 3 and 6 will be wearing to the airport in January if the rules don't change. No one gets to touch those girls ever, nor do they get to take what is legally pornographic photos of them.

My 64 year old mother teaches Yoga... she'll be wearing something similar to what I've posted below when she is forced to fly to India for business in March.

It's INSANE that we're having to resort to this at airports... INSANE.

Some people are required to fly for their jobs. So if they don't like this they should get another job? Sounds like you are pro government on this issue.

I also will not fly anymore with these measures in place. This is really a case of "Guilty until proven innocent" It simply doesn't fly with me...pun intended.

And this $10,000 fine simply for saying you don't want to be scanned or patted down is a very heavy-handed rule!
