Prab Posted January 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2011 Hmm,, they could probably use their house in some TV show like Fear Factor or they could even sell some of the snakes, and I am wondering that how were they able to live for so long with the snakes and after so long decided to leave. and thats so much food for the Chinese and for the snake eaters,,, it must be a dream come true for those people

thewild Posted January 24, 2011 #8 Share Posted January 24, 2011 What is even more hilarious is the realtor...Asking 109K for the house is insane!! It will cost quite a bit to get rid of the snakes and clean up the smell..

RedSquirrel Posted January 24, 2011 #13 Share Posted January 24, 2011 O.k. garter snakes. Yes, they can bite, but come on.... it's like having a bunch of living spaghetti noodles. My one major beef with the article: "The residents are believed to be common garter snakes, a type found throughout the United States. They are not poisonous and are harmless to humans. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1349679/Desperate-realtor-slashes-price-Idaho-home-infested-SNAKES.html#ixzz1Bz0Rcvfu" I only know of talk of one or two "poisonous" snakes, venomous on the other hand.... I suppose the municipal authorities might bulldoze the house down if the situation ever gets out of hand or if too many concerns are expressed. jaguarsky Posted January 25, 2011 #17 Share Posted January 25, 2011 Its not nice to mess with Mother Nature. The only problem I see is the smell, snake excretia is not without its own perfume and lots of snakes also have a musk. I wonder if they tried mothballs in the walls and ceiling. It would at least keep the little darlins outside not in.
