and it's time to put end to this pile of crap that's called topic

and i shall rename it " media hypocrisy "

let's get to it

MYTH : syrian protest in town of Daraa and ask for president to step down

Truth : leaders of tribes in that area was on tv and showed his support

to syrian president bashar and denied that Daraa people support a gang

who carry gun " kill people " kidnap children as human shields

and use mousque as base of operations ... with field hospital in cellar

so you can tell that this mess was years of planing

the group got guns and bombs .. machine guns .. many types of weapons and ammo

so much for the friendly " protest "

MYTH : people of Darraa support the so called protest

Truth : people of Daraa backs up the president and they help the forces

to presuade this armed groups they already stole . destroyed . killed

some people in daraa

MYTH : syrian forces killed doctors and medic team that was helping

the injuried people and killed people

Truth : it was the armed group and they clashed with the forces

and took children as human shields and killed the medic team in progress

MYTH : Syrian People in other towns and city protesting for president to

step down

Truth : Here

MYTH : video of people protesting still in Daraaa

Truth : media sources showing Old events while life in Daraa went on normal

after dealing with the armed group and People of Daraa working along with

forces of goverment to presuade them

from the UN Sec-generals Office:

The Secretary-General condemns the violence against peaceful demonstrators in the southern Syrian city of Deraa, which resulted in several killed and many more injured today and yesterday.

There should be a transparent investigation into the killings, and those responsible must be held accountable.

The Secretary-General reiterates his call on the Syrian authorities to refrain from violence and to abide by their international commitments regarding human rights, including the right to peaceful assembly.

He reminds the Syrian Government of its obligation to protect civilians, and of its responsibility to address the legitimate aspirations of its people through a purposeful dialogue and reforms.

On reading KoS's recent comments, one can't help but be reminded of old Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf, famous (in the West, anyway) Iraqi Comedian.

Doesn't really show much ,does it ? Somebody is shooting at somebody else. But who ?

One thing that IS curious. If the government where in control, and everything is 'business as usual', then why weren't there any police in that scene ?

Protesters have marched through the Syrian city of Deraa, chanting anti-government slogans at the funeral of activists killed on Wednesday, witnesses say.

Some accounts claimed 20,000 people were out on the streets, but the number was impossible to verify.

At least 15 people are known to have died in clashes between security forces and protesters on Wednesday.

Security forces have ringed the city in a bid to quell unrest.

Activists have been using social-networking websites to call for nationwide protests after Friday prayers.

Hours of violence

There are reports of mass arrests as the government of President Bashar al-Assad seeks to calm the situation.

Activists say dozens were killed Analysts say the unrest is the biggest challenge Mr Assad has faced since he took over from his late father 2000.

Reuters news agency quoted witnesses as saying mourners at Thursday's funeral chanted: "God, Syria, freedom. The blood of martyrs is not spilt in waste."

"Demonstrations have also been held in several other cities despite the fact that Syria's 48-Year-Old Emergency Law prohibits unliscened public gatherings."

Italics = Sarcasm

It's a wonder why they're protesting.

Ironfisted rulers can only offer so much.

KoS: You are giving me the impression that you believe there has been absolutely nothing happening in Syria that could be considered relevant to similar circumstances in other dominantly Arab countries (Egypt, Iran, Libya, Yemen). Are you saying that there are absolutely no protests against the actions of your government?
