Well maybe if they gotten a "confession" they now know who to target and soon protesters will be able to march in peace. See how quickly that happens.

What an absolute farce.

Seriously?

State-run television somehow gets a terrorist group to admit that they are causing all the trouble?

And you believe that?

<_<

Of course he does. All Western media is biased. Can't you see that?

Yes it is a complete farce, but it isn't likely he's going to listen to any of us now is he?

Well based on recent news...western and otherwise...the crap is hitting the fan, and the Syrian people are apparently tired of having no right to a fair trial, or freedom of expression, etc etc. Shocker...

all though there is corruptions as you mentions egg

which is really bad but it's been dealing with

and many people in power eaither been fired or in investagations

for stealing money , bribes , unfair treatment to people

i mentioned above that syrians already had benfits from what happenend

the president was oblivious to what's going on and the curroptions

by the people around him and their false reports

that changed HOWEVER

you see the protestors weren't so peaceful some of them was

the others had an agenda to start chaos using them as cover

and why shouldn't i believe it .. you believe the crap quality movies

of syrian security forces killing protestors without prove

can i ask how much differnt is this from the false eyewitnesses reports

or the media who broadcast news before they happens

peaceful protesting is going on all the time with demands

no one gets in the way but people who shoot protestors and video tape it

posting in on news channel claiming it was security forces

look at the victims reports in the syrian media syrian tv has

exposed many of false eye witnesses reports

and many of the so called protesting in areas which never happened

like i said however am pretty tired of repeating my self all over again

security forces to create more hatred and chaos in the situations

these confessions of group within a whole network of them

they're not the only group this mess wasn't made by 3 people

they're more to come before things calm down

If it's in Arabic it'd go over my head. :P

Though my question come from your comments about how the world in view ignoring the truth, however the only source of this true is a group that has a vested interest in making everything seem calm. The quickly way the Syrian government can stop international claims that they're killing their own people is to allow reporters from across the world to come and see for themselves.

Syria is a totalitarian dictatorship. The "government" controls everything. EVERYTHING. It's a country in which people can be arrested and imprisoned at the whim of someone with no cause, no trial, nothing.

Remember, Iran has said it, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, all of them before they were removed from power..."It's outside foreign agitators! My people LOVE me, I am a benevolent ruler. It's the west, or it's terrorists".

LIES!

You keep saying that, and your ONLY proof so far is STATE run and controlled media, NO independent sources! NONE. Meanwhile, every Friday there is another protest, this time thousands.

not really my prove was videos and pics of millions of supporters

which you didn't bother to look

my evidence was debunk of the reports you mentions

my evidence was the debunk of the so called eye witnesses

my evidence is being inside the action and nothing matches

what the other media says " which you get your evidence from "

seriously eaither look at facts from all angles

or don't bother getting into discussions about it

i don't have time to explain every thing for every one

over and over it's getting boring for me

To be fair Knight the pictures and videos of people supporting the government doesn't debunk the main issue that's being brought up, and that is the Syrian security forces are the ones who are killing anti-government protesters.

You know... I think it was KoS who suggested that Hezbollah had disappeared from Lebanon (the implication being that they had moved into Syria to help destabilise the existing regime, and to radicalise the protests.. by gunfire if necessary).

OK.. with that in mind.. lets look at the cited report again.

Thousands of demonstrators in Syrian cities hit the streets after Friday prayers in another week of anti-government rallies, angry but largely peaceful outpourings of protest against the Bashar al-Assad regime.

The emphasis was mine, not CNN's. Note, however, that the protest occurred AFTER ISLAMIC PRAYERS. Not after a political meeting. Not as a result of a spontaneous gathering reaching critical mass. But after direction from the Imams .

So we are entitled to ask.. who ARE these Imams, and what precisely where they preaching ? And why would a religious preacher incite their congregation to make a specific POLITICAL (e.g. secular) protest ?

Incidentally... "Hezbollah" translates (approximately) as "Party of God", and its manifesto is dedicated to the formation of an Islamic society. (modelled on Iran).

So, to return to the original point. This protest was presented by CNN as a generalised, secular, political protest against the Syrian government in general, and President Bashar al-Assad in particular, triggered by broad popular discontent.

However, the timing (friday prayers) suggests a specific, sectarian origin with a hidden agenda, directed and focussed by a central group of Imams of unknown provenance.

Why are the journalists NOT asking questions about precisely WHAT was preached.. by WHOM.. at Friday prayers ? All they need to do is ask that question of a few protesters. But they appear to have failed to follow even such basic journalistic procedures.

Why ?

Many people sneer at Knight of Shadows (myself included, sometimes), but lest ye forget, he virtually predicted this sort of thing, including the (seeming) manipulation (or acquiescence) of the "Western Media".

Cat is now DEEPLY suspicious of the reporting from Syria.

meow purr :(

We do. The problem is, you dismiss everything we put.

my evidence was debunk of the reports you mentions

my evidence was the debunk of the so called eye witnesses

It hasn't debunked anything. Protests are still happening, and yet you still claim the President is immensely popular. Clearly, something doesn't add up.

my evidence is being inside the action and nothing matches

what the other media says " which you get your evidence from "

seriously eaither look at facts from all angles

or don't bother getting into discussions about it

What's getting boring for us is your constant hypocracy regarding news sources. On another thread, you claimed you didn't like having the government influence your views, and yet you continued to post sources and videos from state media. And in case you haven't figured it out yet, the state media is obviously going to be biased as well, since it will undoubtedly support the opinions and views of the regime.

So, I'm assuming you ignored the last major protest in Damascus then. So, how can you support the protestors and yet say that the "majority" of Syrians (highly unlikely for a multitude of reasons) support their President? If they supported their President, there would be no protests in Syria. And besides, how come the Syrian government forbids western media yet expects us to believe their version of the story? You don't see both sides of the argument Knight, so you cannot sit there and tell people to do what you are incapable of doing yourself. If you're going to act like a complete idiot all the time, then perhaps you need some time off to sort yourself out.

a postive reaction on the syrian streets after president Bashar

word to the new formed goverment

as the president addressed the new goverment litarly saying :

that any citizian is better than any minister in this goverment

and the goverment job is to look out for the interest of the citizians

" not the other way around "

in short lines the demands of the protestors are fully given

and wrapped in time limits wheather

emergency law , investagations for the death of civilians in various towns

better daily life .. more and more

----------------------

breaking news :

mean while " Sbeneh " town people interviews people litarly said :

we don't want anything we want the army or security forces

just to step in and stop these " igorant trouble makers "

describing the protestors

the comments were made after protestors started protesting

and when people tried to calm them down they start shooting at people

and break into shops and shooting randomly people

more news to come
