Bombs have exploded in two coastal towns in northwestern Spain.

A caller claiming to belong to the Basque separatist organisation, ETA, phoned a tip-off to a Basque newspaper, according to an interior ministry spokesman.

Latest reports indicate that four people were injured in the blasts.

Spanish national radio reported that one of the bombs was placed in a car park at Sanxenxo beach and another in the marina of Baiona, which police evacuated.

Both bombs were placed inside glass recycling containers.

They were the latest in a series of blasts over the past two weeks to hit tourist spots in northwestern Spain, in attacks which have caused some damage and at least one injury.
