Sylent Nyte Posted August 3, 2011 #76 Share Posted August 3, 2011 I'll bet its an ancient craft, not unlike the one purported to be on the Moon. When its finally raised and the computational systems finally integrated with our own, and we read the logs, I'll be damned if the two last expressions of the last beings in it were: Crewman: "I'm sorry Captain, but I mucked up." Captain: "Oh, bugger."

Frank Fontaine Posted August 7, 2011 #79 Share Posted August 7, 2011 So, Lovecraft was right after all... he just miscalculated the location of R'lyeh by half a world.

The bloop sound originated from quite close to Lovecraft's R'lyeh. This is obviously the Millennium Falcon.
Paxus Posted August 9, 2011 #81 Share Posted August 9, 2011 For some reason I'm allowing myself to fantasize about the remote possibility that this could be some kind of proof of ET visitation. I guess I'm a hopeless closet believer. I knew it

Abramelin Posted August 9, 2011 #84 Share Posted August 9, 2011 Have looked over information on submarine and anti-submarine warfare in World War II. One reads of such action in The Atlantic, Pacific, and even the Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea, but not the Baltic Sea. A depth charge looks unlikely as a cause of the recently discovered crater or object. The area under discussion is nearest Sweden. Sweden was carefully neutral during the war, trading with both sides and making concessions advantageous to both. It was not invaded, and was apparently not the scene of any battles. The Swedes may not have known about what happened nearby in the Baltic because they were not involved. The next text is below a b/w photo: Depth charges ready for action aboard a German escort. As the German army was steadily pushed back by the Russians, so control of the Baltic coast assumed greater importance and the Germans were faced with an increasingly effective Soviet submarine fleet. http://silentseawolvesmsw.devhub.com/blog/562304-axis-anti-submarine-warfare-in-world-war-ii/

philbo Posted August 10, 2011 #89 Share Posted August 10, 2011 ...seriously though tell me you don't believe that if they actually thought it resembled a spacecraft, as opposed to what they suspect a rocky outcrop....they would sail on by. As for money claims..it costs nothing to stop ! then send down a small submersible which they had ! cost em what a gallon of diesel. How do I know this..I'm a part time diver in our local town..we often go wrecking, pull peoples boats up from the bottom of the dock etc.If they were already heading to an expedition. We are not talking a full blown investigation team spending a week on the dive....it would take an hour tops to see what it was. So the story is daft
Trakyan Posted August 17, 2011 #90 Share Posted August 17, 2011 i think its to circular to be natural pluslook at the actual thing there are "rectangular" areas that stick up sharply as if it was mke of stone blocks and that might explain the big chunk missing at the bottom most part since it looks rectangular it might have been part of a city that sunk (this has happened and i dont mean atlantis!) the trail might be the curents going around it and the area behind it from where the curents come from was protected from wear better thanthe rest was forming a "trail". but seriously look at those elevated area they look like very acurate rectangles like the stone blocks of the pyramids i say its man made and the trail is no more than the currents washing away some areas of silt/sand and others being protected by the elevatedness of the object it kind of reminds me of those circular plaza like areas in rome/greece

George Ford Posted August 17, 2011 #92 Share Posted August 17, 2011 check these co-ordinates in Google map 58.762503,-11.645508 This is big circular thing there with an entrance and exit hole where a meteor probably went though it, that's why it crashed into the sea. Or it got shot down by an enemy space ship. Or it's engine malfunctioned.

msm57 Posted September 3, 2011 #94 Share Posted September 3, 2011 Everyone keeps mentioning Star Wars; got me to thinking maybe it was something left over from filming a movie??? Titanic was filmed in the Baltic http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanic_(1943_film) Also Roman Polanski's Ghost Writer was filmed there. I don't know, it's just a guess. But I also figure filmakers would have to agree to clean up after themselves..... I find this object interesting & would like to see more investigation going on. I'm planning on doing more searches. thanks
Sakari Posted September 3, 2011 #95 Share Posted September 3, 2011 A circular rock formation. Interesting. I'm betting the "sliding track" is just due to currents passing by it, not due to it moving. Thank God I am not the only person that see's a rock formation.......I was losing even more hope here for sanity. Besides, as I have been told in another thread, it can't be a crashed alien ship, because the Government tracks them, and gets them as soon as they go down.( yes, people here are saying this )
skookum Posted September 4, 2011 #96 Share Posted September 4, 2011 Those treasure/booze hunters will be thoroughly fed up if it ends up to be the top of a giant barrel of the finest scotch malt!! Abramelin Posted September 7, 2011 #97 Share Posted September 7, 2011 (edited) Not Scotch, but wodka... Someone may have found out what that thing is: USO disk discovered on sea bed between Sweden and Finland is actually a Russian Coastal Defense Vessel http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread723772/pg6 I found an even better pic: http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=8487 ++++ EDIT: Hmmm.... I think I got a bit carried away.... I don't think this vessel is 60 meters in diameter (the real one, I'm not talking about the models I posted ofcourse, lol). ++++ EDIT: Yep, the vessel is 30.8 meters in diameter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_monitor_Novgorod . diablo_04 Posted September 10, 2011 #98 Share Posted September 10, 2011 OK this is my personal opinion and i stand by it. i believe that down there is nothing but a little meteor cater. The company that discover the place i believe there are threshers hunters and my God if an UFO is not the biggest thresher to find...i mean you can sell if for billions. So if you are a thresher hunter, you will definitively cheek it out. I believe they did and they find nothing, but they are not saying. They did released the maps to the public for there "finding" just for publicity...they just "forgot" to say they did investigate and turned out to be nothing ...I'm just saying! aquatus1 Posted September 16, 2011 #100 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Really? Think about it this way: You know how hard it is to convince anyone on this thread alone about what you think this is? Try convincing the guy who you want to give you $500,000 dollars to prove yourself right.
