Google Earth captures UFO over South Africa

Recommended Posts

Someone found this UFO in a photo of Cape; it seems to blend into the photo perfectly with the correct amount of lighting on it. I was not sure this was legit so I used Google Earth to find it myself. It was easy and fast…and it was there.Just because its clear, do not assume its fake.Digital cameras can see outside of the spectrum of the human eye catching colors and objects that you did not see there at the time of taking the photo. Of course they did not see it, yet the camera could. arrow3.gifRead more...

you can't just claim "photoshop", this doesnt look immediately shopped to me, i dont have google earth so can someone validate that this UFO exists where the video says it does.

I find it hard to believe that the person who posted the video faked the image, i find it hard to believe someone else would fake a UFO in cape town, africa.....

This video is interesting

*EDIT* saw the post on the news page, didnt show the attached thumbnail. What exactly about your image means its been photoshopped?

Why does everyone automatically scream PHOTOSHOP?

There are quite a few pictures out there of real UFO's (Unidentified Flying Objects), most taken in the USA, some from the UK and other European countries, even a few from Asia.

What? Is South Africa too "back-water" or "wrong-side-of-the-tracks" for everyone to assume that we may or may not have UFO's?

sorry, i did some photoshop work on the image and tried to post it, (contrast, hue, saturation) the image looks a little odd, not sure why it didn't post. I'll try again

Nowhere near as hard as tramping around in a field in the middle of the night making a crop circle :) People do this sort of thing because they enjoy it, nothing is too much trouble!

Looking at it though, I would say photoshop too :)

What was the excuse before Photoshop existed? When a picture is blurry, "It's too blurry." When it's clear, "It's too clear." It has to be faked, either way.

Can anyone agree that SOME Saucer pictures are actually REAL?

I downloaded Google earth myself to look...its really in the pic so unless google are adding image artifacts....its genuine. If anyone can tell me where to find co-ordinates copy and paste etc..in G-Earth... I will post them here, if not theres an instructional video to find it bottom of this page...go LOOK!

Once again, another hoax.

It's not made by google, it's made by some random guy named Vasiliy Nikitenko who apparently made it as a joke to get more traffic to his website.

Another site it's on:

So, let me get this straight. He hoaxed this image, and somehow made the image show up with everyone who uses google maps? The reason why i ask this, is people on this thread have stated they can see the object on google. Im not saying its real. I know it wouldn't be the first time that google have put stuff on maps.

Excellent point to make, which is why I downloaded the app for myself! can understand a google insider getting the image there at googles HQ/servers, but a random fella?? That'd be hacking now wouldnt it?

34"21'12.70"S and 18"29'24.46E The Old Cape Lighthouse area is where the panorama pictures with the UFOS can be found.

One sure fire way to understand this rather than talk hoax is to email google themselves!!!

Google themselves did not make the image, and it's not a part of google street view. The original site is this: http://www.360cities.net/image/good-hope-2#87.43,-7.50,110.0 and google maps is just linking to it, and able to show the panorama in google earth. I believe the relation to google earth and 360cities is automated and works according to coordinates but I'm not sure. It's just linked with the 360images website, doesnt mean somone put it on google earth on purpose.

Good info AlienDan. Thanks for clearing this up. Surprised people still argue against it after your initial explanation.
