Mainpoint Posted July 30, 2011 #26 Share Posted July 30, 2011 Wilders is a Islamophobe, that is not the same as a Fundamentalist. In fact, once you take away his hatred for Islam he is a liberal. thats an oxymoron He is an extremist with rigid set of beliefs who hates a group of people his views are more in line with hardliners like hitler and mussolini he is not a liberal
Mainpoint Posted July 30, 2011 #27 Share Posted July 30, 2011 Why quote me if you do not even read what I wrote? Why do dutch people like to say liberty for all when they curtail their own country men beliefs and tell them to live a certain way instead of living "liberally"

The Silver Thong Posted July 30, 2011 #30 Share Posted July 30, 2011 Sharia law violates everyones rights. The concept of this law is crude barbaric and disgusting. It does not matter if one is left or right, both sides in the western world should make a very strong stance against it ever getting a foot hold. The only thing that separates Wilders from any other Dutch politician is that he is fanatically against Islam.

questionmark Posted July 30, 2011 #35 Share Posted July 30, 2011 (edited) How about churches and synagogues and so on? Nothing against them so far. It is all about Islam. He must have had a Mullah beating him up, or a son of a Mullah beating him up after school or something. Edit: He has nothing against foreigners either. You'd think he was against the vile things done as commanded by and in the name of Islam, but then surely he must be just as opposed to the atrocities done under command and in the name of the other religions too. Hm. Guess he's a major hypocrite then.

arglebargle Posted August 1, 2011 #43 Share Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) Islam is not a religion. Really? re·li·gion [ri-lij-uhn] –noun 1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs. 2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion. 3. the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices: a world council of religions. I'd say it qualifies. Edited August 1, 2011 by Ranyhyn

The Silver Thong Posted August 1, 2011 #46 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Really? I'd say it qualifies. You can say it qualifies as a religion as I will call it political. Is there that much a difference.
questionmark Posted August 1, 2011 #47 Share Posted August 1, 2011 You can say it qualifies as a religion as I will call it political. Is there that much a difference. All religions are also politics. Just some have the guts to say so.
The Silver Thong Posted August 1, 2011 #48 Share Posted August 1, 2011 All religions are also politics. Just some have the guts to say so. As I said most religions are political and use a faith for there agenda. Islam is being used to change laws and politics. Just as Christianity did to shape our western world today. The use of a deity to shape laws in favor of one over another does not speak of a god but a desire for power and control.

And a totalitarian political ideology at that. to·tal·i·tar·i·an [toh-tal-i-tair-ee-uhn] Show IPA adjective 1. of or pertaining to a centralized government that does not tolerate parties of differing opinion and that exercises dictatorial control over many aspects of life. 2. exercising control over the freedom, will, or thought of others; authoritarian; autocratic.
