A brief statement from the presidential palace said the troop-carrying Chinook helicopter had crashed in Syedabad in central Maidan Wardak province, just to the west of the capital, Kabul, and identified the Americans as special forces troops. continued... ***** ........ how's that for 'progress'? End the wars... If you support the troops you'd call for the immediate withdrawal from this losing battle and demand they return home.

acidhead Posted August 6, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted August 6, 2011 just curious... What are the chances the dead Navy Seals are the ones who apparently got Bin Laden? Just like OBL is 'swimming with da fishes'... dead soldiers tell no tales. 2Conspiracy theories & nutjob remarks just for the sake of flapping your gums. None of the 22 SEAL personnel killed in the crash were part of the team that killed bin Laden in a May raid in Pakistan, but they belonged to the same unit. Their deployment in the raid in which the helicopter crashed would suggest that the target was a high-ranking insurgent figure. http://news.yahoo.com/copter-downing-afghanistan-kills-30-americans-192301718.html Here's a link to the right forum for you: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showforum=11 Enjoy. I thought they were like a small elite squad like the A-team. or do they just mean that they were SEALS? How many of them are there?

I was always under the impression they were like just platoon size. So (presumably) not even all of team Six were in on the hit on Bin L, then. I suppose that way it helps to preserve anonymity. Many are on multiple tours, brushing up on their killing skills. It's amazing that something like this hasn't happened before now. We've been very lucky over the course of the past ten years, but par for this course is changing. Every time I hear a military spokesperson on TV say "the bad guys," I think how frail the argument must be, if we need to be constantly reminded of it. What percentage of the population must be exterminated in order to be rid of all "the bad guys?" Is there such a thing as slow genocide? What percentage of the population must be exterminated in order to be rid of all "the bad guys?" Is there such a thing as slow genocide? Yeah, from different branches of the military/contractors. I was just quoting wiki about the one team from the seals. For all the antirocket stuff on helios and the fact the taliban use iron sights on their rpgs makes this shot 1 in a million to get through and to actually take it down. I bet that guy dropped to his knees and felt his jaw hit the ground with them in shock. Not so much the population we're after but the guys shooting the population and blowing up their markets. Raptor Witness Posted August 9, 2011 #18 Share Posted August 9, 2011 If it's so good to kill the "bad guys," then how come we never hear how many they're killing every day? We hear of the occasional drone killing people in Pakistan. I guess that's just a robot with human eyes. It's not human directly killing human, so perhaps it's sanitized enough for broadcast. Afghanistan is nothing but a human game preserve, and the game is no longer about good vs. bad. In a perpetual war, there are no good guys, and "bad guys," there are only dead guys. Space Commander Travis Posted August 11, 2011 #19 Share Posted August 11, 2011 Hmmmm.. According to the Knews today, NATO Forces have killed, by means of an air strike, the man - yes, the one individual - who shot down the helicopter. Now, how many people believe this?
