Visitor from outer-space?

It looks like someone is hiding behind a tree and moving it's head......or maybe it was just looking for it's contact lens.

In the closeups you can easily see that the head is attached to a stick or something behind the tree which is moving its head and rocking its body. The guy with the video camera needed to be a little farther to the right so this support would be completely behind the tree.

The "spaceship" on the right looks like simple CGI or it could have been something as simple as a sheet of black plastic with a light shined on it.

Of course the big flaw in this is what happened after they saw the alien. Apparently they did nothing as if they see aliens dancing in the jungle all the time. This is why hoaxes usually have the fake aliens in the background and the hoaxer claims they didn't see them until they looked at the video later. If you see an alien while you're shooting video, there is no excuse not to do something to get a better shot of the alien.

Having obtained the footage, Michael, who is well-known within UFO and paranormal circles, was inundated with requests from Hollywood producers keen to use his proof.

*CoughBScough*

The kid in the video gives it away. No expression on his face. The head isn't attached to the body. If it's not a hoax, then we can blame nature for the illusion. The "flash" could just be a reflection and a mere coincidence. Although, it does looked staged. Almost like these kids are posing for this hoax. The expressionless faces say it all to me. I've studied psychology immensely so, I can tell you, they are lying and also looked kind of annoyed that they have to do this. lol :)

I wish it was genuine. Oh well, on to the next one...

Fake!

Being an ex-Mod, it irritates me when I see a reply as yours. If you read the forum rules, it clearly states that posting 'FAKE' is not tolerated. Exactly why do you think it's fake? Usually a brief description will suffice.

Good day. Welcome to UM!

You beat me to it! I was about to post The Suns version, if you scroll down it has the actual video: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3886122/Alien-filmed-in-Brazil-rainforest.html

It doesn't move. One of the kids turns round to 'look' at it... or at least in that direction. Its either light and shadow at work or something nailed to the tree IMO! But interesting none the less...

Edit to add: I see its a Michael Cohen 'find'.... and he's usually in the same category as Jaime Maussan...

Do you think Jaime Maussan is straight on or what? I saw "The X-Conference" on youtube and saw a couple of videos that actually made me sit back and go "Oh... my.... God!"

I am not easily impressed or convinced but this was very interesting. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=wbtCOV5GqOs>

I can go both ways with this. #1 - Its staged. The kids are in on it and want to see how the SFX looks (stick in head in trees - which to me looks like a branch continuing beyond the front of it's head) so they look back at the "prop" - (lousy actors). No shadow to go the "wrong" way (thank goodness) if it is CGI. There is a guy with a zoom lens maybe to the left - why couldn't he get a shot of it to see what's distracting the kids? What kind of movie is the photographer shooting? It seems to be as haphazard as the ET's gawking. Why does the video cut off? Unless like anyone with a movie camera who is not Hollywood, shoots stuff that is accidental and tries again, and again. Or its more clever than most videos at being staged.

#2 - Its real. The kids never pay attention to adults. Kids and animals are the hardest things to direct. The kid to the left gestures with his arm in that direction and the other kids look (some of them don't). I think these kids know what an "ET" looks like (popularized). They may be in shock. They may know the adults wouldn't believe it if they told them - they are muted by unfamiliarity, not knowing how to behave. The ET is here either intentionally or by accident. Is the ET also a child, stepping out of a wormhole, portal, ship, whatever (the light on the right), and gazing out onto planet Earth, looking up to a blue sky, thinking there is nothing to fear, thinking its "cloaked" when really it wasn't. Its behaving like its safe and can afford to be indifferent. I believe ETs can make mistakes too.

I want to believe it is real- but without a lead up and an afterwards; without a sound track beyond the bird (people speaking), its hard to establish a context. Its unfortunate there is so much room for uncertainty. But isn't that true for all of "this" stuff.

Whatever is going on - its kinda cool either way.

Either a typical Daily fail fake or some dumb ET traveled light years to stand in the forest nodding its head.

Out of curiousity... which clips in this did you find so interesting? Please specify the time in which the particular "Oh... my.... God!" clips appear.

It looks like one of the forest sprites (Kodama) from the animation "Princess Mononoke".

Here's a video with a similar "alien in the woods" video. Likely another hoax:

They lost me at "but the possibility of an extremely clever fake can not be eliminated"

I was thinking something more along the lines of "but the possibility of a poorly done fake...is pretty much a given"

I have a very similar desktop background I picked up a couple months ago. It shows basically the same picture from the object's other side. The bright light could be the flash. Comparing exact location in reverse makes me suspect this is not an alien. The background is called ""eerie forest background". I'm sure it can be found through google.

Looks ot me like the ET's head is attached to the tree. :alien:

I think what you can see is that the branch is really behind the head as it appears to continue on. :tu:

 what a poorly acted attempt at surprise at seeing what is obviously a mask

Is it me or does the guy hawking the chupacabra book look like a slight chubby version of Dave Letterman
