'TRAGIC MILESTONE' - 1000 US troops dead

I like how babs and joc and the rest dont ever post much in relation to pre-9/11 terrorism, just lik eit didnt exist.

I mean we get preached at by you guys that we are leftist sympathisers and we support the terrorists, if we disagree with a war that is costing thousands of livfes.

Its both insulting and untrue.

1000 american soldiers dead, god knows how many civilian iraqis are dead.

Listen you all keep saying saddam murdered more.

Id say we're doing a pretty good job bearing in mind saddam had 30 years of psycotic rule and we've only had a year.

What people like myself are saying is that terrorism has existed for years , its only in the last 5 years that weve managed to egt it under control in th UK.

The war in Iraq was a mistake, we are no closer to bin laden , and we've onlyh created thousands of scumbags more than willing to emulate beslan or 9/11.

Thousands of hate filled nutters who because of this foolish war are beinbg fed BS and illconceived ubbish about the western world and our motives.

Invading Iraq under the pretences that we have was a mistake, the evidence we used was flimsy at best.

How many more American soldiers will die , how many more Iraqi civilians will die before the people who are blindly backing Bush realise that maybe just maybe this wasnt the most effective way to end the global terrorism problem, and before you all have aneurisms im not taking about appeasement not even in the slightest to these b*******??

I was watched george bush' "emotion charged"speech describing his view for the future at the republican convention. It was all smoke and mirrors no concrete evidence or policies to show what he ahs actually achieved.

I was watching a programme on Sky One last nite called 9/11 conspiracies, now i dont belive any of the conspiracy crap, however the only part of the programme that actually caught my attention was none of the consiracy's , it was george bush' immediate reaction to the news of the twin towers.

He was in some school of primary school age children attending a class that was reading some fairytale book, he carried on reading some book about bears after he knew the worst tragedy in american history was unfolding, no emotion , no urgency ...nothing.

Explain how our great emoptional , caring president can do this. The most powerful man in the planet just carried on reading a fairytale book afetr being told about the 2 planes crashing into the twin twoers, he carried on reading some daft book whilst thousands of your countrymen were dying.

Is this the actions of a great leader????

I suppose churchill was doing something similar throughout the blitz and charles de gaulle as his country was being invaded around him.

..hmm.... i think not.

BTW if you dont believe me watch the programme for yourselves.

God bless Winston Churchill!!! Now there was a man!

Changing the subject a little...I was talking about him the other day and said that if he was still around what is happening here in the UK would not be happening full stop! Our Grandparents, our Great-Grandparents and all our brave soldiers who fought for our countries independance and security in WWI, WWII would not put up with the BS that is going on in the UK at the moment.

Actually this is a remarkable leadership trait. He was calm, collected, didn't scare the children or even let on that anything was wrong, while at the same time, thinking what to do....really what could he have done?

You don't understand leadership. Leaders don't panic. Bush is a great man and you are never going to see it through the eye glasses of the left. So I am not even going to waste my breath anymore.

We have one thing in common............Hendrix Rocks! I guess that's enough huh? tongue.gif

Freudian slip? huh.gif

Well, for one thing Sadaam is in jail and will stand trial for the deaths of over 300,000 innocent people.

Their is a difference between being calm and being downright negligent.

I mean calm is great but he just sat reading a childrens book when he shouldve have at least been attempting to find out exactly what was going on and doing his job.

Why, you wouldn't want your President to know what was happening?

Yeah, I guess its best the Oil Companies just skip the middle man and get straight to business huh.gif

'bla blah blah right wing propaganda, more right wing propaganda, you can't comment because you suffer from left-wing propaganda blah blah blah'

That what I hear from you Jock, I find it hilarious that you say we're speaking left-wing propaganda, while spewing right-wing sound bits left, right and centre.... or just right. laugh.gif

The difference is though; even though thats what we hear, we still at least try and argue with reason and facts, rather than just writing your argument off as brainwashing. Please show us the same respect.

No... and you'll never see it our way. Our ideologies are incompatable beyond the agreement 'terrorists are evil'. laugh.gif This is one of those cases to agree to disagree and just hope the side we support ends up in government. Beecause nothing we say or do here will matter in the long run.

It isn't the terrorists fault that they are evil. It is America's fault! We set up these little dictators and then when they go away from us we blame them? As long as they don't affect the price of oil we leave them alone. wacko.gif Before we go around attacking countries like Iraq, we need to clean up house around here...starting with the removal of George W. Bush!

Not really. It's pretty simple actually...it all boils down to money and oil....If we need the oil we put up with practically anything anyone wants to do to their own people...if they get out of line.....we cut 'em down. Besides Haliburton needed the work. That's the real underlying reason we are in Iraq and why the world hates us. Bush just wanted to pad his own pockets and that of his rich oil buddies. disgust.gif

No not really.

Depends on what left your talking about. Socialist wuld say its all due to with Capitalism (which it does). Liberals would complain for humanitarian reasons. Pascifits would have another views. etc etc

btw just in case you missed my last new topic: Trading Places

You're a christian, what ever happened to love thy neighbour, and I shalt not kill stuff

I think it is abhorent that we are sending our youth to kill and be killed...all in the name of Jobs for Haliburton. I don't see Bush sending his daughters over there. ohmy.gif
