zenfahr Posted November 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2011 Top international climate scientists and disaster experts meeting in Africa had a sharp message Friday for the world's political leaders: Get ready for more dangerous and "unprecedented extreme weather" caused by global warming. rashore Posted November 18, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2011 (IP: Staff) · Well, pttht, that's not good. Locally, the weather has not been normal since last late winter according to locals... I would hate to see what extreme weather would be like. I don't have anything scientific or spooky to back it up... But man, it sure does feel like weather and earth events are spouting up more often and/or more dramatically.
Wickian Posted November 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2011 Projected changes in climate extremes under different emissions scenarios5 generally do not strongly diverge in the coming two to three decades, but these signals are relatively small compared to natural climate variability over this time frame. Even the sign of projected changes in some climate extremes over this time frame is uncertain. From the latest IPCC release. They're basically saying their models have shown humans will have little to no impact on weather events in the next 30 years, and there have had little to no impact thus far. Whether you put any faith in the long-term models(in support of either side of the argument) is another matter.

rashore Posted November 19, 2011 #11 Share Posted November 19, 2011 (IP: Staff) · I'm not sure how far I believe in global warming... But I do believe in weather weirdness. I think of it sort of like this- Mother Nature is having some serious natural PMS, and humans are dinking with her way too much. Might not be catastrophic, but it likely will lead to some effed-upness.. Especially for humans, since we are worldwide and pay more attention to what's going on around us. cwulffs Posted November 19, 2011 #12 Share Posted November 19, 2011 How many times do they need to say these things to convince themselves? If they keep telling themselves these things, they really believe that everyone else will believe all this crap!! Fools!! If, you read history, you will see that the earth goes through these cycles naturally. And, that should be the end of the discussion, unless, you have an ulterior motive. Like, taking everyone's money from them and redistributing it in whatever way you would like.

Yes,the world is getting warmer, but, not because of what man is doing! Man can not change the weather patterns. Swadwa Posted November 19, 2011 #14 Share Posted November 19, 2011 (edited) I get a kick out of the fact that "experts warn about severe weather ahead". Who are the "experts"? What weather man has been able to predict the weather? This all just falls in line with the "Global Warming" hoax. I'll bet these "experts" help D.C. come up with another bogus tax bill! "Hey, can you tell me what's your name? "My name is Roosevelt E. Roosevelt." Roosevelt, what town are you stationed in? "I'm stationed in Poontang." Well, thank you, Roosevelt. What's the weather like out there? "It's hot! Damn hot! Real hot! Hottest things is my shorts. I could cook things in it. A little crotch pot cooking." Well, tell me what it feels like. "Fool, it's hot! I told you again! Were you born on the sun? It's damn hot! It's so damn hot, I saw little guys, their orange robes burst into flames. It's that hot! Do you know what I'm talking about?" What do you think it's going to be like tonight? "It's gonna be hot and wet! That's nice if you're with a lady, but ain't no good if you're in the jungle!" Thank you, Roosevelt." - Adrian in Good Morning Vietnam I'll bet these people who believe Global Warming is real probably all live in the south where as they get older they think the summers are getting warmer. They have probably never spent a winter in Alaska or Iceland or Norway. You experience that and you wont be thinking - boy it's warmer this year. You say **** it's cold!!!! Damrod Posted November 19, 2011 #19 Share Posted November 19, 2011 (edited) Well when those that think they are sooo intellectually superior remove their head from their back sides and realize they are not so smart...we might come to some conclusions about cause and effect of "climate change". It does not matter who or what caused it...it is happening. It is now a known fact that "all" the planets are apparently warming up...and we know this is not man made...but does that lessen the implications or the effects?...no...the fact that it is not man made does not lessen the potentially devastating effects on society and vast numbers of the world populations. Stop being stupid. There are things going on climatologically that have no known precedence and the tag name is "climate change"...It does not matter if it is man made global warming...a solar maximum...the front end of a maunder minimum...cow farts or invading aliens....the point is...the weather patterns are shifting and you can deny it all you like, but it's a documented fact that there are unprecedented extremes going on all around us... Remove your head from you a$$ and stop talking like a brainless republican puppet...try using your head instead of waiting for someone to fill it with feces... Xanthurion2 Posted November 19, 2011 #21 Share Posted November 19, 2011 i am from the crappy state of arkansas in the FUBAR USA, where it recently went from summer to autumn in the space of one day (not kidding) and i have not noticed a bit of increase in temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, cloud formation or anything. so it's probably nothing to worry about until 2 or 3 hundred years from now
Guest Posted November 19, 2011 #22 Share Posted November 19, 2011 I often wonder why been politically conservative and been a climate change denier are so inextricably linked. It seems that Conservatively minded people are very good at looking at evidence and deciding to prefer their own opinion over it. It applies to almost everything they approach. Interesting psychological discussion to be had there. Br Cornelius

Br Cornelius Evidence? Are you talking about corrupted data? Models that ultimately have turned out wrong? Lab experiments that cannot recreate the desired effect of what they are trying to prove?
