John Brady, co-head of MF Global Inc's Chicago office, was having a vodka cocktail at the Ritz- Carlton in Naples, Florida, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, on the day his company reported its largest-ever quarterly loss.

"Wow, the sun just set," Brady said to his wife and two colleagues attending a conference with him, he recalled in an interview. "I hope it doesn't set on MF Global."

In the US, the gap between the rich "leadership" and everyone else(who are rapidly becoming peasants) is racing towards a situation where we will have the common day "let them eat cake" mentality from those incompetent fools at the top of the food chain that simply are so removed from reality that they have no clue how close the average person is from losing everything.

When people can manage to get millions of dollars a year, and tens of millions of dollars as a golden parachute after driving a company into the ground and destroying peoples lives and retirements, it just goes to show how screwed up the system has become.

Just like the last time "Let them eat cake" was uttered, we are getting so close to having another revolution. SO many people have lost everything in the past several years. It is only getting worse. At a certain point there will be a high enough percentage of broken, scared people with literally nothing left to lose, and that will be the powder keg waiting to go off. Some event that becomes public that shows the greed, waste, and incompetence of the top will be what lights off the powder keg and we will be busy in a rush to make enough torches and pitchforks for everyone.
