So Klingons basically fly up to it, fire off four shots, then try to fly away even though there was no indication of a threat?

I am guessing they love wasting torpedos on mutliple random celestrial objects... guess their like space trash men who go around blowing up old and useless junk except this one fired back and uh... they basically disappeared.

About 16.4 hours at the speed of light. Pretty good power source on board to work for 34 years and still going strong.

And should keep going until at least 2025. We should get some interesting readings when it has crossed the bowshock.

Got the gold-plated audio-visual disc on it too.

Would be awesome to see Real-time video footage from it. Unfortunately that technology didn't exist back then. Still awesome what was accomplished back in '77.

Now that would be something! Imagine running that film compressed down to about 10 hours.

I reckon we should fire of a camera and stick it to every passing comet. Then download them on the return path.

Hazzard was saying this morning that it would take 17,000 years to make it out to one light year from our solar system.

There is a lot to see out there. Mostly nothing, but the bits that do pop up are pretty impressive.
