Persia Posted December 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2011 States in the US have long been having difficulty gaining access to a drug used in lethal injection cocktails. A new European Union regulation will make it even harder. As of the end of this week, EU pharmaceutical companies will no longer be allowed to export thiopental for use in executions. http://www.spiegel.de/international/europe/0,1518,803238,00.html
Paracelse Posted December 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 12, 2011 Bruxelles will do anything to kill business in EU. I'm not a proponent of death penalty, but a business deal remains a business deal.
Mr_Snstr Posted December 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 12, 2011 I don't know what's worse. That some places here have been searching for a source for months in order to kill people; or that we're wholly incapable of producing it in the states... This is what happens when you let ethics run business decisions... you get stuff done.
Corp Posted December 12, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 12, 2011 Yeah I'm surprised the US is importing this stuff. I'm guessing it's cheaper to have Europe make it or something?
Caesar Posted December 12, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 12, 2011 Well I guess we'll go back to the guillotines for now.
Corp Posted December 12, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 12, 2011 Sorry all the guillotines have been bought by FEMA for their death camps.
