Ron Paul - 5 years ago vs Today

Recommended Posts

I used to have an account many years ago with an old email and forgot the password.

I remember any mention of Ron Paul was laughed at and people would say "yeah that guy thats on alex jones all the time? LOL!"

Now I see a complete 360 ... I find that members, espcially old, and new, are all backing him and saying hes the one who makes the most sense.

The funny thing is, Ron Paul had the same message in 2007 that he does now.

What swayed you?

Isn't that a 180? :P

I bet if you listened to what he has to say at one point; it would only be a matter of time before it makes too much sense to ignore.

If all you've ever heard and been taught are lies, when someone tells you the truth it's bound to sound like a lie at first.

I'm not much into politics, and any attempt I made to describe any politicians view on anything would be nothing more than a guess, however two points seem to stick out here to me.

The first is that 5 years is a long time. If you were to speak with yourself from 5 years ago, it would be surprising how much your views have changed without your noticing it.

The second is that we simply have five more years of experience. We tried one thing, we got results. We don't like them, so we will try another. There is no reason to believe that, if elected, Ron Paul will not be in the exact same position as Obama is now, in terms of public perception. After, we still don't have the results of Ron's time in office.

President-Elect Acidhead

I joined in Feb. of 2007. Those who know me know I've been supporting Ron Paul since I arrived here and I'm not even an American citizen. If Ron Paul had been president in 2008 there is a good chance everybody would have been picking up the pieces already and investment casinos like Goldman Sachs and Co. would be in the dust bin of history where they belong. Instead, look around ----the whole bubble just got bigger as Paul predicted. The time has come to smash down an awful lot of loosely laid bricks and get the market back on track again.
