UFO-USAF battled twice in Vietnam

When a USAF General says UFOs battled USAF fighters in Vietnam on two occasions, and major media is present but refuses to report it, that is a cover-up. Why would the media do that? Did someone order them to not report it?

You're assuming the media refused to report it, indicating that what this ONE person is saying, out the hundreds of thousands who served in Vietnam, is absolute truth.

And the destroyer in question was the HMAS Hobart (D 39)..

During the evening of 16-17 June, the three destroyers were ordered to undertake surveillance missions around Tiger Island, because of reports of North Vietnamese helicopter activity in the area.[44] At 03:09, Hobart's radar picked up an aircraft approaching with no IFF transponder active.[45] At 03:14, the aircraft fired a single missile at the ship, which killed one sailor, wounded two others, and damaged the chief petty officer's mess, air search radar and missile control compartments, and the ship's funnels.[46] Two minutes later, the aircraft made a second pass and fired two missiles.[47] The missiles hit simultaneously: one penetrated the superstructure and damaged the gunners' store, engineers workshop, and aft seamans' mess, while the other hit close to the original missile, causing further damage to the mess and missile control room, while also damaging the Tartar checkout room, killing another sailor, and wounded six others.[48] These was also major damage around the destroyer's Ikara magazine, but as Hobart was not carrying any Ikara missiles at the time, the potential magazine fire did not occur.[49] The aircraft came around for a third attack run, but was scared off when Hobart's forward gun turret, under independent control, fired five rounds at the aircraft.[50][51] At 03:30, Edson reported coming under fire, and Hobart's captain ordered the three destroyers to take up anti-aircraft formation.

It was a jet with no IFF transponder that came around firing sparrow missiles at it, not aliens.. and the jet flew off when the men took control of the AA guns on the ship.. it didn't "vanish"..

It's believed to have been a friendly fire incident, considering the Americans were using the sparrow missile at the time.

It wasn't covered up. It was actually widely reported.

I could say I am married to a pink elephant, if the media doesn't cover that, is it a grand conspiracy?

Sometimes a little rational thought is all it takes.

One key thing this guy left out, all while he kept emphasizing "General, General" was that General Brown didn't think the UFO's seen were alien craft. General Brown was quoted as calling them nothing more than atmospherics...

The guy in this clip is an idiot.. 10 minutes of Google debunked him..

You are assuming a lot here. First, that any of that really happened. Second, that UFO = ET. If this really happened and the press did not report it might have been out of concern for military security. There was a war going on after all and something in the air could have been an enemy military threat. People love to build things like this into all kinds of fantastic tales. You are also assuming the general is compos mentis. Before you call cover-up consider how you might be wrong.
