news icon rSweden's Storsjon Monster, the mythical inhabitant of Storsjon Lake, will soon be fair game for hunters and curio-seekers as its protected status is about to be lifted, local authorities said on Wednesday.

Named after the stretch of water it "inhabits", the monster is Sweden's answer to Scotland's Loch Ness Monster, Norway's "Selma" and Argentina's "Nahuelito".

Wow! This may be the first time in history to prove once and for all whether those lake monsters exist or not. It'll be interesting to see what the people will do when the ban is lifted. Will they all run out there to try to catch it or will some stay behind in protest.

Oh yay, lets let all these destructive people into a nice lake full of all types of life, which will probably be harmed by all these people trying to become famous!
