Britain's Horrendously Murderous Role In The

So now you're suggesting depopulating the islands and sending evryone to the Uk, just so that the Argentina can get their hands on it? But you do not have any axe to grind for Argentina, do you. You're completely neutral and impartial. :unsure2:

Why didnt the Argies settle there first ?.When Britain was a major sea and land power a few hundred years ago, this was a stopping off point for ships going around the horn,we decided to populate it as it was a watering hole for our sailing ships. The Argies never bothered to go there. Then the mad junta decided to boost their popularity ratings by invading a peacefull community,so we stuffed them.Since the war the big oil companies thought that they would do a bit of oil prospecting and they dont do that for no reason,so it must look promising. So now Argie has become very interested, well they can s.d off, because the Falklands will never be called Las Malvinas. The Islanders prefer us to manage them as they are mostly from British stock anyway. So be it, long live the Falklanders I hope they find oil and all these guys living in a harsh environment become millionairs.

What is Argentina's plan regarding the islanders? Would they be allowed to remain there or be shipped to the UK?

Yes, do you?

The young leave at the first opportuniy, to get away from the grind of daily life, probably the inbreeding as well (the gene pool must be very small),

Give them the same opportunity to decide as Hong Kong - none. Why should so much money , time, resource , and international bad - will be decided by so small a population. Bring them all back to the UK, give them some land to grow sheep (if that is their desire), give them a fishing boat, whatever, it will be worth it , and a lot more than was given to Hong Kong Residents who weren't even given passports with right of abode in the uk.

Ejecting Brits from their homes on the Falkands is ethnic cleansing

You're advocating ethnic cleansing my people. If some refuse to go are you going to machine gun them too?

Probably all be chucked into an Argie prison,as they are defying Argentine by not wanting to become an Argie citizen. But I have just read that 2 cruise ships have not been allowed to dock at an Argentine port because they called in from the Falklands. How petty is that..I have been to the country a few times and the ordinary guy in the street is friendly, its the mad B..gers at the top who are causing all the problems.

What I find most fascinating is that one person (or a group with the same bias) will collect facts and see patterns and intent that is obviously completely opposite of the reality. Just to pick one out of the mix: the violence in Chechnya. The entire world is plagued with islamic bloodshed, and any nation who takes a stance against such murderous intent is on my good list. You can put whatever label you want on the actions the us and our Allies take, but nobody should be subjected to Sharia law and the extreme oppression that it represents. The world will be a much better place once that insidious sect is eradicated.

The OP sounds like a bleeding heart liberal with a severe case of self-hate. I don't know why Europeans hate their countries so much. Britain arguably did more good than evil in the Mid East. Have you noticed all the developed, first world countries in the region used to be ruled by the British? I don't agree with their tactics, but the results of British involvement are generally good...

In England we dont hate Italy because of the Roman Empire.

We admire Roman civilization as they did a lot for us and for Europe.

All the hate Britain brigade forget the nations we conquered didnt have factories, electricity, roads, education, hospitals, railways, classical mechanics, etc, etc. They also like to attack us for slavery but are ignorant of us simply being the end consumer. Its Africans that enslaved each other we simply brought the commodity.

I watched a t.v. program about the Indian railways recently & apparently they are still using the same track & train in 95% of the country that they were during british rule i.e. they haven't invested anything in the infrastructure in all that time. Perhap if we hadn't 'meddled' they would still be using cow & cart.

They use very British style signalling, much of it going back to the 1920s or so, but all their locomotives are American designs. Another great export opportunity lost by british governments since the war, perhaps ...
