I don't believe that "The Shooter" shot anything.

I believe this to be a hoax, a joke perpetrated on BF believers.

"The Shooter" has certainly managed to garner a lot of attention, which is what he desires in my humble opinion..

I disagree only because the soldiers the government uses to retrieve crashed UFOs are a special branch of the military, sworn to secrecy, able to get to the crash site quickly because they are tracking every flying saucer that comes into Earth's orbit. When a crash occurs, they get there in just a very few hours, they have even gone into Mexico when a small plane crashed into a UFO and both vehicles crashed to the ground. The first people om site were killed by gasses, then a squad of specially trained soldiers from Fort Bliss Texas arrived and retrieved *everything** and left with it.If every branch of the government worked as well as this unit does, the United States would be a better place.

Ahhhh - so you are a Footer and a government conspiracy theorist too? That seems about right. Did uncle sam make you sign an NDA about the aliens too - or do you have actual evidence of those you can share with us. Oops wrong forum. Nevermind. UFOlogy is one door down and the Conspiracy Theory wing of the Mental Hospital - I mean website is even further down than that.

At that time I believed 100% that the entire story was a fabrication. Sadly I came to realize that it was the truth. The DNA flesh sample the shooter turned in to Dr. Melba Ketchum is now actually part of the study.

The shooter is now giving interviews and causing a lot of people to really dislike his conduct that day because of what he did. There was absolutely no reason to kill the mother nor the baby.

I want to talk about UFOs and Nessie! A TV program I watched and happen to agree with claimed that Nessie is of a species thought to be extinct. That I sincerely believe to be true.

I did not come here to discuss just something about BF because all I know is that I saw a BF once and was totally frightened of him. I believe BF is more likely to be proven than UFOs or Nessie unless a UFO crashes on the White House lawn, or a living Nessie eats some people while being filmed.IMHO.

That story is a bunch of lies.....I lived , grew up, 43 years in Sparks Nevada......Fished and jetski'd at Frenchman Reservoir.......Hunted/fished/back packed/camped and spent many days and nights at Gold Lake and the surrounding area.....I know people whom live in Downieville, and have their entire lives.....I even talked with someone whom knows the person claiming this crap.......So, since the shooting story is a lie, what does that make the good old doctor?

If you know anything about the story, and have actually looked into it, than the bolded above should stick out like a sore thumb to you.....If not, you don't know 1/10th of it, just what you read on the internet.

Nessie :

In 2007, it was estimated that Nessie tourism brought in an estimated £6 million ($12.2 million) to the Highlands. Some are blaming skepticism and the fact that there have been only two sightings in the first nine months of 2007. There were only three sightings in 2006. A decade ago, ten to twenty sightings a year was common.* The decline in sightings should concern the true believers, given the ubiquity of digital cameras, camera-phones, and the presence of webcams at various places around the lake.

Adrian Shine, head of the Loch Ness Project, believes that one reason for the decline in sightings is that people are more skeptical about what they see. “I think we live in a more pragmatic age, and that people are becoming more aware of the sort of illusions that can occur on water,” he said.* If so, there may be hope for our species, after all.

The BBC claims it has proved that Nessie the plesiosaur (a marine reptile) does not exist. What they did was use satellite navigation technology to aim 600 separate sonar beams through Loch Ness to ensure that none of the loch was missed and found no trace of the monster. The research team hoped their instruments would pick up the air in Nessie's lungs as it reflected a distorted signal back to the sonar sensors. The only signal they got was from their test buoy moored several meters below the surface.

"We went from shoreline to shoreline, top to bottom on this one, we have covered everything in this loch and we saw no signs of any large living animal in the loch," said Ian Florence, one of the specialists who carried out the survey for the BBC.* The show, called Searching For The Loch Ness Monster, was made for BBC One.

I think the only place having lake sightings of Nessie now is up in Canada where there is access to the ocean from a couple of lakes there IIRC. The only 2 things that I know are real is BF because I saw one, and UFOs because I've seen three. That is all I know about any of this stuff. I don't know what UFOs or BF are, I just happened to see them. You guys have posted all of this info about this creature that is out on the internet. You guys do great research!

My thoughts are that both of these cryptids are real, and UFOs exist. I don't know what any of them are, but there are so many pictures and stories about them there must be something real to them. IMVHO, of course..

What will it take for you guys/gals to believe in any of these things? That was just a curious question because I'm not a hard core skeptic, and I wondered what it takes for skeptics to believe. That's all I was asking. A Body for BF? A crashed UFO in your yard; Nessie eating your swimming dog?

How will you cope if a UFO crashes for all of the world to see, or a Bigfoot is hit and killed somehow and it is a genuine creature?

I'm talking genuine proof, a UFO crash totally covered by all media, or a BF body, with DNA results and pictures, also covered by mainstream media and science? A dead "Nessie" washes ashore somewhere in Loch Ness?

Will you believe that news, or still not accept it until you personally touch it?

I'll believe DNA and video from reputable sources mainly because I've seen UFOs in daylight and a Bigfoot close up, but I'm not a skeptic, I'm open to ideas of unknown creatures or visitors from someplace besides the surface of our home planet.

How would that event effect you? I'll be frightened, but will continue on because I think that they have either been visiting or always here so for me nothing will change except that it would be verified for the world to know that they do exist.

What will you think and do if or when this happens?

I haven't personally touched a lot of things I know exist. So no, that is not a requirement for proof for me.

"I'll believe DNA and video from reputable sources" susiq2

That is the clincher. I doubt we agree on "reputable sources". So tests, research, revelations and discoveries from only pseudo-science circles is not proof of anything for me.

What exactly can be proven with any alleged DNA sample? Can you explain how that works?

These characters play by their own poker rules: Keep it close to the vest, don't let anyone see you flinch and just say "I won!" and collect your money and fame. No need to show your cards.

"A smart, well,a brilliant scientist has taken the time to do it right!" susiq2

Can you at least tell us of your qualifications to make this judgement call? Why so certain are you that you had the confidence to come here and elsewhere, and post your announcement to the public?

It is obvious from that you did not read my reply did you?.....Sorry, my " research " was Physically being there.........

A dead body....Confirmed by Science, not BFRO or a " scientist " on the internet.

" UFO " ......I know those exist all ready.......They are all over the place, and I have seen quite a few of them.....I have also had one " land " near me while chukar hunting in Nevada.

Youve disproven your own point here. If the secret agency is so good at what they supposedly do then how is it you know anything about it and are able to tell what they are doing to all of us? You must be a very high ranking nurse to be privy to all this top secret information.

I did not discover this info on my own, it was part of a UFO program about how and why UFO crashes are usually covered up so very quickly, and the evidence removed before the media shows up. The retrieval group is supposedly based at Fort Bliss in Texas, and have been trained on how to handle UFO retrieval with all of the equipment they may need at their disposal to use to keep themselves safe, and to retrieve the craft. My being a nurse has nothing to do with my UFO beliefs, my belief comes from seeing them. Yikes Twice, I have never been as frightened as I was when I had a close encounter with a UFO when I was about 10 years of age. It was a big sighting, 600+ people called the police, and my sister fainted when we ran crying and shaking into the house to tell our mother what we had seen. My father brought home the newspaper the next day and the front page had the story of the UFO being sighted and mentioned how many people had called the police to report it. That is how I know how many people had called the police that day. My sister and I were within 15 feet of the craft. It is not something that I will ever forget!

Regardless of where you saw it, dont you see how a secret organization isnt secret if you learn about it on tv or the internet? Either its bad at being secret or it doesnt even exist in the first place. What was the program?

My youtube reference to Fox News about Bigfoot is a " fool me once " thing......

I saw that on CNN and Fox news, and called my sister in Oregon ( before I moved here ) to tell her they are real......

Boy did I feel dumb.

I see what you are saying, if it were real, not just one News story, but a real deal......

I think the post above mine explains it the same as I feel......

Would be cool........But it is just a fantasy...( 2 out of the 3 you listed are )

Sakari, I sincerely apologize for not carefully reading your posts and for not responding to them. I've had company and have only had minutes to check in here, and I only barely skimmed through to see if anything was urgent. Now everyone has left, the house is quiet, and I can read and respond to postings made while I've not been on-line. Please excuse my apparent rudeness, I had not planned on a house full of people here all day.

The problem with this is that the government has proven time and time again that it's awfully bad at covering things up. Watergate, Lewinsky, the death of Pat Tillman, Iran Contra, etc, these are just the ones off the top of my head. They could never hide the fact that an alien vehicle crashed.

The people who handle UFO retrievals do not answer to anyone, and the president has no knowledge about any of this stuff. A private government agency handles it, and I doubt that they are able to speak of it either. The fewer people involved, the better chance of keeping it quiet.

I do have answers to some of the questions you are asking, my night just got busy, so I'll be back tomorrow to discuss these issues and why I believe that most of these cryptids and UFOs really exist besides the fact that I've seen them except for Nessie, which, BTW, I also think there was something there once upon a time, and still may be found in Canada swimming merrily along occasionally. See you guys/gals tomorrow, and thank you so much for discussing these interesting cryptids and UFOs here with me. You guys/gals Rock!

bolding is mine, QC

I've heard more than one President say something to that effect, although not in regard to UFO's, at least that I'm aware of :P

In this situation, Night Walker, I must disagree.I think that scientific proof along with clear video evidence will go a long ways towards helping the general public to believe. In this situation, Night Walker, I must disagree.I think that scientific proof along with clear video evidence will go a long ways towards helping the general public to believe.

As a student of Bigfoot, you must also acknowledge the long history of fakery in these regards – particularly those which originate from the very people who claim to believe in and be researching Bigfoot. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it and that is exactly what we see year after year in regards to the International Hairy Man of Mystery. I admire your optimism regarding the latest DNA claims but it is exactly this sort of blind faith that is the problem rather than the solution…

I saw one, a BF, I know that they exist

You mean you believe they exist. Your husband saw the same thing yet does not believe, does he? We humans are very fallible in our perceptions, processing, memory, and recall. Many people experience things that do not exist (some more than others) – that does not make the experience elusively real, paranormal or supernatural nor does it diminish the impact of those experiences - it just makes us human. Does this apply to everyone else other than yourself and your fellow Bigfooters?

Encultured Hallucinations

I believe that it is possible to have enough evidence to prove their existence even without a body for most people

No. Again, you have to consider the long history of fakery with regards to Bigfoot. Example: simply believing Roger Patterson was just a cowboy who got lucky is akin to putting one’s fingers in one’s ears and shouting “LALALALALALA”…

Has anyone who has come into contact with Bigfoot ever been harmed or injured by these encounters ?....If yes what did they do to annoy the creature ?....If no I guess they are just cuddly teddies and want to be left alone...We have no Bigfoot in U.K that I've heard of,but there is big cats running about, and have been filmed...cheers

In case you haven't been answered yet: Yeah, there are reports of some violent encounters between man and the Beast. Just do an online search. One was a trapper, I think, had to do with President Teddy Roosevelt?

But I believe the current description is "they are curious but shy creatures" who like to paint, play with toys, beg food at your door, and watch children play. I have an uncle like that...hmmmm

Lets not get the Teddy Roosevelt thing going again. All the former presidente did was write about an encounter he'd heard about. Teddy Roosevelt DID NOT encounter a bigfoot. :) just a friendly redirection before someone else reads this and takes the ball and runs with it.

Sure, sorry, sites have widely differing tolerances for rabbit trails, especially in bigfoot threads. Not meaning to derail anything.

I don't believe TR did. I don't know the history of this story on this site, guess it's not a good one.

I was just answering the question with another bigfoot tall tale answer, which is all there is to choose from when I thought he/she was just asking if there were any such stories. You either say "no" to every question or you give bigfootery's answers and hope they pick up on the sarcasm or think it out.
