Big kids on small wheels skid down steep

In its 12th year, the annual BYOBW extravaganza drew hundreds to the famously-steep Vermont Street in San Francisco.

The Bay Area tradition was started in 2000 by Jon Brumit, riding down Lombard Street — often billed as the crookedest street — on a plastic big wheel. On the first Easter Sunday descent, Brumit was the lone big wheel rider with 13 onlookers.
