As far as I know the idea that the legend of the crystal skulls is an 'old Native American legend' is simply not true, the legend of the crystal skulls is a modern invention (dating back no further than the early 20th century, and most of the more well known features of the legend being added well after that).

Does anyone have any more info on this??

I saw a show on tv, one of those docu's, where they actually recreated the skull.

So it is not one of those things that 'cannot be duplicated' because it was.

TThey did a whole history on it, and it was determined to be a hoax, a good one, but one non the less, wish i could remember the name of the show, i saw it twice, but remembering titles and who did it is not one of my best areas :)

here is a decent link

Skulls have been symbols of power, for millenia.I believe there is something to it.

I have a collection of skulls, all of different materials.

A couple are old,and were using in magical rituals. They do some funky things on occaision.

I've never given much thought to crystal skulls. Beyond wishing the last Indiana Jones movie hadn't been made.

And Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, both believe in them.

Armstrong went on an expidition to find one,and Aldrin wears the Crystal skull bracelet the believers wear.

I believe he even wore it,and discussed it on the tonight show.

We haven't been able to recreate any of the original skulls. We have made crappy replicas, that's it. The skulls are ancient, and no one really knows how old they are. No on knows how they were made.

Bull. You're taking the word of the book pushers without checking for yourself. We can not only duplicate them, we can surpass them.

But lets do take a look at some of these "crappy replicas", shall we?

Other than the Mitchell-Hedges skull, which has been shown to be a likely fake purchased in London not long before its 'discovery' in 1924, I have not seen any crystal skulls that are all that well crafted, the other crystal skulls I have seen have all been fairly crude by comparison to the Mitchell-Hedges skull (at least those skulls I have seen with a well documented provenance). The British museums skull is very similar to the Mitchell-Hedges skull in dimensions, but is not as detailed (particularly in noticeable in the teeth) and the crystal skull in Paris is downright cartoon like in comparison.

I heared speculations about Atlantis origin. How Aztecs and Maya used it for religous purpose. Also as proof of ancient technology. No matter they are from 19 century.

Some people feels unpleasant near crystal skull. Some loose memory. Some feels very calm near it.

Anyway,

I read once that crystal skull have optic properties and that can be used as holografic technology. That reasearch goes into that direction. That researching put laser on different angles with different laser frequency. So if skull is portable information outgoing beam from the skull will gave some information. I read that they didnt got holographic information but something came out of it and researchers trying to deschiper it.

Does anybody knows something more about it?

As I've mentioned in other threads on the subject, for holographic memory storage to work you need quartz specially doped with additives and which logically needs to be optically pure to allow laser transmission. The quartz used in the skulls is presumably fairly ordinary and is visibly riddled with bubbles and other imperfections throughout in all examples.

Thanks. Ofcourse didnt know that. So are you familiar with experiments done by researchers or is that just rumor.
