Waspie_Dwarf Posted April 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2012 On Tuesday, April 17, between 10 and 11 a.m. EDT, space shuttle Discovery, mounted on the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, will fly from Kennedy Space Center to its new home at the National Air and Space Museum, Udvar-Hazy Center.Individuals in the Washington metropolitan area will have the opportunity to see Discovery before it lands at Dulles International Airport.Read more... Follow the space shuttle Discovery as it is flown to its final destination at the Smithsonian Institution in Virginia, reminding us of NASA's successful parlay of American ingenuity into regular low-orbit space travel. DONTEATUS Posted April 18, 2012 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2012 Man there were tears in the eyes Coast to Coast WHen that baby flew over THis is more of a crime to See the End of such an Era, specially that theres no real replacement ! My prayers are will all of the NASA families and employes! We need to Grab the Bull by the Horns again and Reach into Space ! Time to really vote a Forward thinking Pres.!
