Best Viewing Sites for Discovery's Flyover

On Tuesday, April 17, between 10 and 11 a.m. EDT, space shuttle Discovery, mounted on the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, will fly from Kennedy Space Center to its new home at the National Air and Space Museum, Udvar-Hazy Center.Individuals in the Washington metropolitan area will have the opportunity to see Discovery before it lands at Dulles International Airport.

As NASA releases photos of this flyby I will be posting some of them in UMs Space Exploration gallery.

Images of the preparations and the take off from Kennedy have already been posted.

Man there were tears in the eyes Coast to Coast WHen that baby flew over THis is more of a crime to See the End of such an Era, specially that theres no real replacement ! My prayers are will all of the NASA families and employes!

We need to Grab the Bull by the Horns again and Reach into Space ! Time to really vote a Forward thinking Pres.! Not one that will Kill programs Like Exploration ! :tu:
