airlybird Posted May 19, 2012 #151 Share Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) Love lima beans and key lime pie is my absolute favorite! Sounds like you're cooking up a feast worthy of Donteatus. You'll find him in the space and ufo threads. How many of you guys are there anyway? There are quite a few that we're hoping will follow us here. They're all really nice people who would find the content on this site really interesting, and would join in discussions around the threads and make a great addition to the forums, but we've been kinda naughty about it, because we haven't directly told them about this place. Instead we've made a game out of it and have been dropping hints, making riddles and leaving clues for them to follow. (I've just posted an Alice in wonderland/Cheshire cat scene, but i replaced the white rabbit part with an "alien embryo") HG and Tawaret cottoned on pretty quick, and followed in our wake, but the others haven't "quite" got there (or should I say here) just yet. Tawaret, HG, Frecks, i know you're probably going to be busy enough reading around the threads here, but don't forget to go visit the neighbours, it's the Canadians thread here in the community lounge section. I took them a monkey, but I think Jon (the OP of the thread) would probably be just as happy with something more normal like cake Edited May 19, 2012 by airlybird
HurleyGurley Posted May 19, 2012 #154 Share Posted May 19, 2012 Morning! How do I add images to my posts here?
airlybird Posted May 19, 2012 #155 Share Posted May 19, 2012 The way i do it HG (and its the only way i know) is to upload pics/images to a host such as photobucket and then copy/paste the image code.

TheWatcher Posted May 21, 2012 Author #157 Share Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) Well good morning WoodX2..Its Monday and we are swamped! People must have really done it up over the weekend because now they are all sick. Great OK will be back when I can but I can just tell already that its going to be one of those days. Might as well jump right in instead of hanging onto the edges. Hope you all have a great day. Beautiful weather though! Tawaret Posted May 21, 2012 #159 Share Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) Tawaret...thanks for your concern. I've just been extremely busy, extremely stressed, and really tired. But, my husband came home today and will have the last 2 weeks of IV antibiotics at home. We also got some discouraging, but expected news from his doctor. They don't think there will be a whole lot more they can do for him. They have one more drug to try, and if it doesn't work, he'll just have to live with the disease in between crises. So, we're sort of preparing for the inevitable, although it will probably still be a while, and as long as there is some hope, we will keep on keeping on. :awwhug: I guess that doesn't work here. There is always hope and there is still time. At least he's home now. That in and of itself has to be a relief. Me either schizoidwoman, but they just look like broad beans to me. They're often called butter beans. These are limas. I'll pop right in & visit the neighbors! If we don't they might let their dogs poop in our yard or call the police to break up our wild parties! TheWatcher Posted May 22, 2012 Author #163 Share Posted May 22, 2012 (edited) Yup, I'm triple posting, but this jump wasn't in response to the impending new Keeper, was it? No guru...not at all. We will all still be there for all the math problems in dimension one. I am looking forward to your keep. Just thought we needed a plan B, a summer home...a second dimension. So presto...here we are. If you would like to discuss more lets do it in a PM. There might be a bit more... I suggest that the KEEPER role carry over to this world and on your first day as the keeper there you will also asume the role of keeper here. Woodites...vote? So now that that is over... GURU! Welcome! I knew you would figure out our sorry clues Good to have you Bring my friend guru here some key lime pie, a bowl of lima beans and the finest steak in all the dimensions Laughing at your avatar,,,Its odd but cool... What is it?. I never really got the clues - but Tawaret made a clue that said to pm her, so I did. Key lime pie, lima beans, and steak? Sounds like the makings of a good milkshake. Keeper here too? I'll give it a shot, but it may not function all that well since it took me six years and I just barely know how anything works THERE. It's a Rutabaga. In my classroom I often explain that my students are to do NOTHING but listen until I say a certain key word. "Rutabaga" is my favorite key word in such situations. Familiar enough that it's recognizable, uncommon enough to catch attention, and just darn fun to say. Try it - you'll like it!
