The island of Bastoey is home to a prison population that is allowed to wander woods, fields and beaches unhindered by the unarmed guards.

It has achieved a remarkable re-offending rate of just 16% - by the lowest in Europe, quite possibly the lowest in the world.

This just proves that if you throw someone in a cage like an animal, they'll start acting like one.

Rehabilitation is more affective than punishment.

Those prisoners had it made. I don't know about sending someone there that has been convicted of a brutal crime. There are some that can't be rehabilitated.
