Eldorado Posted May 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2012 Hello there, pilgrims. What's your all-time fave verses from songs.. not the whole song, just a verse that has resonated with you. Obviously we'll all have many, but there's surely only a few that can at times make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. What are they? (if you don't mind me askin) I love these words.... Come and lay down by my side Till the early morning light All Im taking is your time Help me make it through the night
questionmark Posted May 23, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2012 Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose Nothin', it ain't nothin' honey, if it ain't free And feelin' good was easy, Lord, when she sang the blues You know feelin' good was good enough for me Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee

Here is my favourite: Bring me sunshine in your smile bring me laughter all a while In this world where we live there should be more happiness So much joy you can give to each brand new bright tomorrow Make me happy through the years never bring me any tears Let your arms be as warm as the sun from up above Bring me fun bring me sunshine and bring me love Edited May 23, 2012 by Star of the Sea

Q-C Posted May 24, 2012 #10 Share Posted May 24, 2012 I used to travel a lot for work. Her lovin’ kept me sane. And still does. I can hear her heart beat for a thousand miles And the heavens open every time she smiles And when I come to her that’s where I belong Yet I’m running to her like a rivers song She gives me love love love love crazy love She’s got a fine sense of humor when I’m feelin low down And when I come to her when the sun goes down Take away my trouble take away my grief Take away my heartache in the night like a thief Yes I need her in the daytime Yes I need her in the night Yes I want to throw my arms around her Kiss her hug her kiss her hug her tight And when I’m returning from so far away She gives me some sweet lovin’ brighten up my day Yes, it makes me righteous, yes it makes me feel whole Yes, it makes me mellow down into my soul She gives me love love love love crazy love Van Morrison Sorry couldn't pick just one verse

Popular Post ThePhantomFlanFlinger Posted May 24, 2012 Popular Post #12 Share Posted May 24, 2012 I look at the world and i notice its turning.. While my guitar gently weeps.. With every mistake we must surely be learning. Still my guitar gently weeps.. One of the best Beatles tracks ever imo and by the vastly underused and missed George Harrison..

psyche101 Posted May 25, 2012 #15 Share Posted May 25, 2012 I find John Butlers words in Zebra very inspiring It's not who breaks the ribbon boy It's how you get across. That lines always sticks with me. Anyone ever sing the wrong words to a song for years and then find out what the real words are? I used to know a singer that sung p***in in a bottle yeah in The Cult's Little Devil which is a great song whilst it is being mentioned. I only heard the real lyrics to Wuthering Heights not all that long ago. Damn that can be funny!
