I'd rather agree to disagree with you. I eprosnally don't like arguing. lol I do however respect your opion and the fact I could be wrong. I just view it that way. Mental illness isn't that much like cancer. I know mental illness is serious you don't have to prove that to me, but cancer is worse. Mental illness also has more chance of being cured than cancer. I think you should believe more in yourself, don't give in to it. You need to fight it, don't let your mental illnes beat you. There is ways to sort it. (I perosnally don't like meds for mental illness I feel doctors prescibe them to much to try and get rid of a problem) What do you think caused this though? As I don't beleive it was drugs, not the kinds you can get on the street anyway. They don't cause anything worse than what alcohal can. What I mean by it's the same as cancer or diabetes is that no one asks for it or does anything to get it. It's a chemical imbalance in the brain. I don't just have depression or SAD. I have bipolar disease. I've had OCD since I was a kid, I never was able to get rid of it until therapy. Yes, I agree doctors over prescribe meds, but people with mental illnesses need meds, therapy, and lifelong treatment. It's not curable. I do have confidence in myself, very much so but if I stop my meds and therapy, my highs and lows and destructive behavior comes back. Believe me, I know. I don't want to be on meds for the rest of my life, but if I have to be to stop my destructive behavior, then so be it. People who are undiagnosed and self medicate with drugs and alcohol or who will not stay on their meds or stay in therapy are the ones who end up homeless, not really the ones who end up face biters. I don't want to argue either but I've been diagnosed for 10 years and once I was stable I have been much, much better. Not all doctors are out to get people and actually know what they are doing. My father and uncle were schizophrenic. My uncle was very far gone but on meds and harmless. Yes to other people he appeared strange because he mumbled and laughed to himself a lot but he would never hurt anyone and never has. He is near 70 now. The point is people are ignorant of mental illness lumping it with something that someone asks for or brought upon themselves when that's not the case. It's also not curable. SAD (seasonal affective disorder) can be helped, yes because as the name implies it's a seasonal illness brought on by not enough sunlight and the depression that happens during the long winter months. I lived in England for nearly 5 years so I know about that as well. It's just disheartening when you live with a mental illness and people think that you did something to cause it. What about a drug? I mean one designed to cause this or acidently made to. Also we know from nature that zombies aren't impossible. I just can't see it being pinned on either of those individually. However that part isn't the part I find strange. What I find strange and I can't beleive this isn't getting more attention on here. Is how the media and police are reporting this and telling the public contradictions etc. I haven't seen 2 reports that are identical with facts. Reports saying he was violent through information from family and his ex wife. Then reports saying the oppisite though current girlfriend and family again... Isn't that strange? They said the police have on record that he attacked his mum and that his family have made their house into a fort to keep him out and his ex wife said they divorced cause he beat her constantly.... Then other reports say his family said he is quiet and wouldn't hurt anyone along with his current girlfriend saying this. So why the hell are we hearing 2 different stories on his family etc? If someone gets the flu, is this person ill because of their mental stability or unhealthy choices in life?? Nope. Why is everyone so determined to hold to the belief that the victim's background was solely responsible for the attack itself? Of course there are other reasons why this happened. I feel it is best to wait for the finial conclusion drawn by medical science .. I don't think anything was fabricated...I feel possible theories were given.. I am not a drug user therefore ,I know very little about drug usage ( thank goodness ) I cannot get offended by the idea of drug use ...So I favour what ever possible reasons science and the police can give for now UNTIL real facts are confirmed.. Criminal matters usually take precedence. Usually it's 6-8 weeks. This seems to be an unreasonable amount of time by any standards though. I would contact the ME (medical examiner) and ask what's taking so long. If they dont respond, you COULD get a court order to make them respond. However, if you are in a district where this is the normal time frame, you may just have to wait. You dont say if there is any suggestion of foul play. If there is, it could be that the evidence is being withheld pending investigation. That is also a possiblility. If there is a possible drug related cause, they may be investigating that as well. In either case, I believe you have a right to know what's going on.
