Paracelse Posted June 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2012 France's new Women's Rights Minister Najat Vallaud-Belkacem's stated mission is to start the eradication of prostitution in France by pushing tough legislation against their clients. Some sex workers and police officers see things differently. Now does DSK (dominique strauss kahn of New York's attempted rape fame) knows about it? He's already involved in another sex scandal in France involving prostitutes in flew from France to NY. Read what this women wants to do.. here Some here are already calling the new socialist trend a sharia in disguise law. Personally I don't give a hoot, I couldn't care either way since I do not use those ladies of the night' services but there will lots and lots of French politicians that will be p***ed as most discussions are done.. never mind that would be slander and it's illegal

ali smack Posted July 11, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 11, 2012 I don't think they should eradicate prostitution because I think that it would cause more prostitutes to get hurt/killed if there not working in brothels.I also don't see logically how you could eradicate it.It has always sadly existed and I think always will. It's not something I would do or be interested in doing but I do believe that they should not eradicate it.
FLOMBIE Posted July 11, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2012 Whether it's legal or not, there will always be prostitution. A ban won't "eradicate" anything, in fact, it will create new problems.
pallidin Posted July 11, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 11, 2012 Maybe we should lift the ban on murder, meth and nuclear weapons.

FLOMBIE Posted July 11, 2012 #9 Share Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) Because murder and nuclear weapons are not in the same boat with prostitution. You can compare banned prostitution with a ban on drugs, because it creates a few similar problems. Yes, it is similar, but still not the same. pallidin Posted July 11, 2012 #10 Share Posted July 11, 2012 Prostitution causes a whole host of problems far more severe than banning the practice. But that's my opinion. You have yours and I respect that.

You have yours and I respect that. It is my opinion that as long there will be prostitutes that satisfies the "special" needs of some "no so normal" customers those said customers wont take on innocents to satisfy them. I thought the French were ultra casual about sexual mores? I agree with Flombie that you "eradicate" things for moral reasons. Well the secretary of state that wants that is a Muslim so that explains it... they're OK to marry kids to old geezers for a few camels when they get the dough. The Silver Thong Posted July 12, 2012 #15 Share Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Just like goverments smuggle drugs and guns and yes hookers we the public are not allowed lol do as we say not as we do. Prostitution is a victimless crime if legal and regulated. Why is it illegal. Edited July 12, 2012 by The Silver Thong

The Silver Thong Posted July 12, 2012 #17 Share Posted July 12, 2012 (edited) Tell that to his wife. That would be a personal issue not a govermental issue right. Tell that that to the loanly house wife that sleeps with the pool boy and the hubby comes home early. She just did it for free. pallidin Posted July 12, 2012 #18 Share Posted July 12, 2012 Well, some find prostitution to be OK. I find it to be immoral, potentially dangerous and disgusting. To each their own.

Helen of Annoy Posted July 12, 2012 #20 Share Posted July 12, 2012 Prostitution can be curbed by offering decent jobs with decent pay to people. Obviously. No one becomes a whore because that’s what they wanted to be since childhood. Hypocrites should think about that before spraying their stale holy water around.
