Sheetz Posted August 23, 2012 #26 Share Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) just to be clear and a bit scientific.....IR cameras do not pick up body heat like someone else pointed out - bug, person, whatever. It's merely and intense reflection of IR light being so close or on the lens of the camera. but yes its a bug...if you watch the video, you'll notice little quick flashes of light around the car (or I should say between the car and the camera lens) This is the same flying bug at a greater distance. The reason its a flashing spot is that these CCT IR cameras are not shooting at 30 FPS. It's much lower to conserve recording and disk space.
